You know, I'm probably going to get slammed for saying this, but that Troll 2
clip at 4:29 got me thinking that there really are worse films than Troll 2 in
existence. Xanadu is one of them. At least Troll 2, in all its flamboyant
badness, is campy fun.

Is really Hot!

This is simply amazing. I had to register just to comment. I have very fond
memories of this movie's horribleness. I saw it as a midnight movie with my
friend about two years ago, and it was a gateway to tons of future midnight
movies (including Rocky Horror Picture Show). I dont think Ive ever laughed that
hard since.

aliens (from the planet Transexual Transylvania no less ).



With that little nitpick out of the way, your Zeus voice is hilarious. I'm

I was gonna point out the Rocky Horror thing, but Monarch beat me to it (darn

aliens!" I have to wonder if maybe you've found an example anyway, Rocky

Magic is a pretty good song.

I actually did my own version of the script. It was a lot funnier, contained a
lot more filthy language, had no musical numbers and made a LOT more sense...
but it probably would have ended up being 30 minutes in length. In my version of
the script Sonny realizes he's not actually in love with one of the daughters of
the greek God Zeus, he's actually just on drugs.

Since when did Olympus look like TRON?

I would hate to see want Asgard would have looked like in this movie!

I'm SO glad that this movie has never been aired in Germany (or I at least never
noticed it airing), because it's just so ... so ... so XANADU!

Awesome review Miss Lindsay! Odd looking movie, though the stage show seems
interesting. Sad about the lack of aliens though, even the title sounds like
there should be aliens or something sci-fi related.

This wasn't justa last ditch attempt to save roller skates, discos and Olivia Newton-John's
career... I think it was just the last gasp of the 1970s in general. Every
decade has this awkward transition period from the previous decade that ends
when some benchmark event occurs. The '90s were killed by the 2000 election,
the '80s were killed by "Smells like Teen Spirit"... etc.

But the 1970s? This stilted play spelled its end. Good review N.C.
