Oh shi-! We are doomed! When Chell dropped the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device into the river she unwittingly reset the flux capacitor, thereby a relapse into formula negative zero thereby dooming the universe with her soft but massive blunder! I can already feel the effects! Time has no meaning, The sun is now a pistachio, the sky a layer of ice cream! ia ia Cthulhu Fthagn! ASDF !@#$%$#@#$% *explodes* :zombie:

Yeah, it's obvious you played that game recently and really liked it Doug. I'm making a note here, HUGE SUCCESS. XB
Seriously though, this was a good episode. I loved Dominic's reactions to Chell's story and that bit where he pulled out a piece of cake and Chell shot herself was perfect. Very nice job and I'm GLaD you enjoyed it.
(Sorry, I just can't resist with the Portal references) =D

Hilarity insues regardless! :psychotic:

10.02.2010 - 14:36 | LazyLordUmm, are you talking about Portal 2? There's a little bit more time between Portal 1 and Portal 2 than just a few minutes...try more like a few hundred years.

It's...it's called Portal, not Protal. Have you really been calling it that all this time?
Although, I can't argue that "Protal" is fun to say. Protal! Heh. You win this one.
Anyway, glad to see Doug loves the Portal as well. He is one of us now, and there is no hope for him to escape. Clearly, this was adapted from the original ending of Portal, where Chell actually escapes, instead of the revised ending. Which there's nothing wrong with, by the way; J.R.R. Tolkien did the same thing.

Yes it was Toreka. :whisper: And we can do without your bad attitude thank you very much. I've never played this game but I liked this sketch.
Hey Doug. Y'know a game that would provide a gold mine of opportunity? Kingdom Hearts. Though, is this only classic games? If so then another request would be Pokemon or Kirby.

10.01.2010 - 00:28 | NCscriticI've never played portal so I don't really get the cake thing. someone care to fill me in? (no pun intended)
the Glados thing is rather obvious, that's the name of the evil computer, right? yeah, I get that, but what's with the cake thing?
-
10.01.2010 - 01:20 | fireninja237
at a couple points in Portal, GLaDOS assures you that cake will be made available after the testing is done, and in several places throughout there is a red scrawl on the wall that says "The cake is a lie", because at the end of the testing, GLaDOS tries to kill you. Also noteworthy is that shortly before you realize what's going on, a picture of cake is shown.
BTW: I absolutely love this series (in addition to all your shows =D )! Keep up the great work, Doug!

Alright i dont want to sound like a prick but Chell cant end her life right there... what about portal 2? - even if shes imagining it all she still needs to run trough portal 2... well she might of imagined the whole encouter with Dominic thing but that would end in a world where nothing is real... who? who am i?

Oh, good. We have another Solid Snake problem on our hands. =_= It's a joke, man. It doesn't have to make a lot of sense. Every single one of these Video Game Confessions videos completely screws with continuity for humor's sake. That's kind of the point.
Anyway, nice touch at the end with GLaDOS being a new GPS program, Doug. Gives the same vibe of uncomfortable dark humor at the end of the sketch that the game has at the end. Ah, GLaDOS... Even as a fictional character, you continue to instill us all with horrific fear at the very mention of your name long after we've completed your game. Die a thousand horrible deaths, you sociopathic computer.

Your wrong believe me when I say this I love portal, but I can't take guesses toward my beloved games, there fore I will use official quote from valve about te' storyline/plot
"In Portal 2 the player returns as Chell, having been in stasis for several hundred years while GLaDOS and the rest of the Aperture Science facility has fallen into disrepair. Chell is awakened by one of GLaDOS's personality cores, and inadvertently wakes GLaDOS; GLaDOS is immediately displeased at Chell's return and begins testing her again through numerous chambers as she rebuilds the dilapidated facility. Portal 2 continues to challenge the player through numerous platforming and physics-based puzzles using the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device." there mindfuck avoided thank you, thank you! :drunk: =D

10.01.2010 - 00:48 | MalfyI wouldn't trust cake from a bar either, really. At least she'll be reunited with her lesbian lover, Companion Cube, in heaven. Or hell, if those pesky pastors are right about the lesbos.

Why is this getting a thumbs down? :(
I merely found something interesting and decided to share it with all us ThatGuyWithTheGlasses fans. Since it was to the topic, and a lot of people seemed not to know her story, I thought this would be a good idea.
It's not like I didn't watch the video and posted "FIRST11!!1". Instead I watched it, enjoyed it, specifically went to my favortied videos on Youtube, and thought I would share like I do with friends.
What's the harm in that?

10.02.2010 - 16:40 | LostInPhilly89I guess you missed the part where GLaDOS tells Chell that her whole memory is on file. Chell is a clone. GLaDOS was using Chell and her clones as entertainment for tens, if not hundreds of years.

Heh, did anyone else think of Chell from Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force? "They know we're here now..." XD.
