actually I've met some furrys online and they're actually pretty friendly (not in that way!)
and a few of them don't seem to be fond of fursuiters, in fact one gal said if anyone in a fursuit ever tried to hug her she would beat him to death with a stick :D :D :D

It seems like it's been a long while since the last episode of Video Game Confessions, so it's nice to see a new episode.
I suppose I should have guessed that there would be a video mainly involving this subject coming eventually. Thinking back, I don't know why I didn't think so. Regardless of anything, I chuckled quite a bit throughout. The video was rather entertaining.
Personally, I think that if people are furries or animals are humannies, that's their business. They're not hurting anyone, so they should do what makes themselves happy, right? In my eyes, everyone likes at least one thing that many others would consider odd. Furries' likes just happen to be more well-known than most others.
Anyway, nice video Doug. It's always interesting to see popular video game characters shown in a new light, for lack of a better description. Keep up the good work. :)

Freakin hilarious as alway! I'm glad to see a new one of these. VGC is my favorite sketch of your's exept for NC of course. btw, Doug, you forgot to mention furries are also known to draw their own porn (or just art if it's not sexual),not that there's anything wrong with that of course. Anyhoo, can't wait for your next one! May I suggest one of the Resident Evil guys? Mabye you could throw in a Phelous cameo again?

06.27.2010 - 01:29 | The Closet ExtrovertHah, about time we get a new one of these. XD And as usual, pretty good job.
I do have a suggestion though, as if you don't get enough already... how about Alyx Vance or Gordon Freeman from the Half-Life series? I think a lot could be done around them waiting for episode 3 to come out...

I don't know where to begin. To be fair, it was good until the mid-section where it just seemed a tad unfair. Personally, Fox is one of the greatest badass to walk the Earth and here, it just made it too ... I don't know what to say honestly.
It started out like a decent satire but then it just went too heavy with the gay overtones and obvious fur metahpors. Fox was my favorite Nintendo character. Other then Command, his franchise has lead a positive line. I'd go more in-depth, but this vid speaks for itself.

I am. In high school, I got my video gaming abilities back because of StarFox. It's a personal matter, best not say. I know this is meant to be a satire, but it just felt like he was taking a tomato and tossing straight at my face. Also, I just can't stand it when someone has a certain hate or negative feel twoards something and continues it on throughout his work. It just feels like he wants to tear new holes when enough was enough. Still, it was tastfully done and not over the top harsh.
Mel Brooks had a golden rule. "You always spoof what you loved." Personally, I just didn't feel that type of welcome when I was halfway into this. Still, it was ok but just left me disjointed. At least I didn't go into ultra-rant zilla mode. I would hate to be kicked off. :(

Whine whine. It's amazing how people get offended over the silliest little things. It wouldn't surprise me if you were one of the people who gave Doug a hard time about his Mako joke. If you take offense over simple satire that easily, you should probably turn off your laptop and never use the Internet ever again.

Actually, I didn't know who Mako was at the time, so I wasn't in that batch. I just didn't feel that this was the best episode of the bunch. Why is it that people see a negative comment and they attack it like a deer out in the open?
I'm not ranting or complaining. Just using basic criticism without going over board. I'm not being mean or anything. Just getting my opinon out there that this wasn't a satisfactory episode despite some tastful bits and some acceptences. I just don't get it why one would take a negative review and burry it. It makes no sense.

It's relevant because as much as I appreciate the games, this vid shows how one can take something so good and lampoon it in a way that gives the character being spoofed less credit then he had before. Also, I was putting my opinon out there, as said before. I was saying this was the weakest he did, but others apparently don't want to face that the truth that others will have an opinon of thier own. Instead, you mistook it as a complaint rather then a critical say.

That is the point. Mockery can be used in many ways and here it was something that I couldn't stomache with. There is another reason why, but it's greatly personal.
Point is he made him look like a character that shows no shame in humiliating himself, even if he is givening off stuff that is hazadarous to his dignity. It shows Fox as a cross-dresser, such I couldn't stomach as well. There a few things here and there as well, but I can't say here or I will sound like a broken record and they linked to something heavily personal.

06.27.2010 - 01:40 | MrTambourineHaha, I knew you were going to do something like this. As you pointed out in satire, some furries do take the whole thing way too seriously. They seem to be a large target for trolling so they should just laugh at themselves instead of actually being offended by it.

right because krystal and renamon were so deep and full of complexity and meaning right up there with characters like wolverine, and Aragorn from lord of the rings, or FIver from Watership Down.
Doesn't matter how much hot arts depicting characters come out it doesn't magically change their status. My point is Wonderwoman for instance is recognizable because she is a comic icon full of social commentary on the empowerment of woman.
Tell Rare and nintendo to do something more with their characters instead of recycling their games every generation and MAYBE people will start recognizing them more other then OMG they look hot.
