But the Rugrats episodes from (1998-) and the two overhyped film sucked ass and baby piss. All Grown Up was a matter of taste and trying to save face in what was already a fading "marketing whore" franchise.
Sometimes I just want to kill people a Viacom for making Nickeleodeon ruin the series. But the episodes from 1991-1994 will always rock!

But they were showing the same. Damn. 50 or so episodes until Nick realized they had a franchise on their hands and expanded it in the late 90s with movies, new episodes and that stupid "All Grown Up" series.
But that song was awesome. I especially liked the extra effect you put to your voice to fit Mark Mothersbaugh's DIVO-inspired theme. Bravo!

03.20.2009 - 20:57 | Karma XThis show tanked as soon as Paul Germaine left the show. (He was one of the main writers an the one that kept it fresh and interesting for the first few seasons)
Then the show lost all of it's subtle cleverness. That's also when the show jumped the shark with that terrible movie and the unnecessary Dil character which caused the show to slide downhill.
It went from cleverly written satire to just a generic kids show with "Let's be pirates!" and then they make Pirate jokes for the whole episode, or something equally lame.
Also, they toned Angelica down. She was a great character and a great foil, when she was almost evil.
Today, I have mixed feelings about this show, because it's a perfect example of how a good show can degrade into being godawful when it runs for too long.
It actually reminded me a lot of The Simpsons, that way.

03.20.2009 - 21:38 | swagar49 seconds that summed up a large portion of my childhood. Sadly, by the time I was old enough to fully appreciate it, All Grown Up was on.
Also, that Devo fact just tripled my respect for that show.
Again, not quite as hilarious as Batman, but this one was the most "well made".

THIS LYRICS HAS FORE-SHADOWING!! DOES NOT COMPUTE! DOES NOT COMPUTE!
*Shutdowns and automatically reboots*
*cough* Erm hmm. Well that was entertaining, though those lyrics would be strange to hear before AllGrownup was made. I especially enjoyed the ending with the voices talking to each other.
Funny Job dude. :D

What more is there to say? This was just awesome.
Granted, after the first Rugrats movie, the show did begin going downhill, overall it was an enjoyable show.
The second movie was just...weird. I don't have much else to say about it...
Nobody was asking for the Rugrats Go Wild or whatever it was called. It was the crossover between Rugrats and that one show I never liked with that chick who could talk to the animals... And if someone was asking for it, it definately wasn' me.
While it made for a nice special, All Grown Up was...unneccessary. The special was decent, but it's one of those things that didn't really need to be made an entire show that few people cared about.
But this Theme Lyrics was easily the best. If not the best, then second best.

03.21.2009 - 07:15 | Manic MonkeyI liked the Wild Thornberries but the crossover movie with the Rugrats was indeed stupid.
