09.05.2009 - 19:48 | dontknowdontcareI remember this show now! It was weird but actually funny sometimes. I think I watched it when I was younger because I loved the muppets and puppet based shows were fun to me.

The 90s were just filled with Dinosaur related movies and shows. Just to name a few...
Jurrasic Park 1-3, Primal Rage, Land of the Lost 90s remake, Godzilla 89, We're Back, Dinosaur(The Disney CGI movie), Dinosaurs, Dino Crisis, and a million Land Before Time movies.
I guess it's Jurrasic Park's popularity that triggered that trend.

Kevin was also the muppeteer and voice of Master Splinter in the first two Ninja Turtle movies, Hoots the Owl, and Gary Gnu on The Great Space Coaster, among many others. Yeah, I pretty much followed Kevin's career. As stated before I had a major crush on him. My fiance, who's Kevin's first cousin, looks like he could be Kevin's bro. My fiance was also a stage hand for the Elmo show. Good times, good times.
Anyway, enough rambling. I loved this show. The children were my favorite characters. My fave epsiode was the one about the mating dance. The oldest son was doing it in his sleep. Dinosaur equivalent of 'wet dream' I guess. I thought that was funny, and kind of ballsy for the writers to put that in an episode.

I loved this show! I used to watch everything from this lineup: Dinosaurs, Family Matters, Step by Step, all of them! It's kinda bittersweet looking back at the intro; when I was little, I always had this overwhelming sense of dread hearing the beginning music, but then bounced on my bed humming the last half along with the show. It makes me sad that these shows are gone, but if they hadn't, I'd never have discovered anime.
I think I'll even show this to my mom. She loved the show too.

Ending was epic. "Like 'We're Back: A Dinosaur Story," except it doesn't BLOW." True dat.
