Wow, you were balding even back then
Couldn't have been too long ago though, since you used the music from The Phantom Menace which was in 1999.

That was really entertaining. It was always interesting to see what you were going to draw next and the ending was perfect. Plus the art itself was pretty wicked.

That was pretty cool actually. Great ending too. But I can't help but think that you look like Les Claypool back in the early days of Primus here. It's not a bad thing, just kinda funny.
-
11.05.2009 - 06:53 | Jutsushine - Primus!!!
Doug Walker is a fancy artist
Though he looks like emo Jones
How he won that contest
Still sends shivers up my bones -Let's Go.

I'm singing that in concert later this month! That was so cool to hear it here.

Couldn't stop laughing at you peeking over your "modern" art at the judge. I found the whole thing entertaining.
note: I wonder how many people will mention your hairstyle in the comments. Place your bets! I'm going with every 2 out of 3 comments will make mention of it.

That ending was awesome. You should really think about writing screenplays.

-
11.05.2009 - 03:46 | ThatFoodie

lol I LOVE your clips from Blade you used, they are very brief but they are there! Lets us know know this was made at at least the late 90s. Good to know that the NC used to watch my favorite movie at a younger age.

As The Nostalgia Chick once said in that one videos of hers.
"The Hair"
As for the video. Well it was your first try. Thank heavens you grew up into the Nostalgia Critic.
But I must admit some of the Camera work is good.

Okay, so it was a little pretentious. But you had a right to be--how many high school juniors can make short films like that?
Loved the ending.
Also, judging from The Hair, you went to high school in the mid-to-late 90s...?
-
11.05.2009 - 04:43 | Ela Kongu la Fore - Woah!
I don't know why,Doug, but you remind me of Nicholas Cage here
Maybe it's the hair....The artwork was really cool and the ending was just brilliant and hilarious!

Wow, this is honestly some of the worst shit I have ever seen in my life.
But again, this is why you're showing it to us. So, therefore, it's awesome!
But seriously though, it's really not bad for a young person with no technical equipment or non-linear video editing software. It's damn good considering your age and limitations at the time. Seven point eighteen thumbs up! :-)

For real though, is it just me, or do you think you can turn in a canvas with three vertical lines painted yellow, orange, and red... and then three horizontal lines across them blue, green, and purple... and then call that "modern art" and so deemed a "genius"? I don't get it. Colorblind, left-handed, retards get all the womens these days... lick my scrotum sweat and whistle Dixie while tap-dancing on my Grandma. I just don't get it.
And don't EVEN bullshit me with that, "you lack vision" crap. Seriously, go fuck yourself.
