Believe it or not, there actually IS a movie that won Best Director at Cannes in which most of the dialogue actually is random internal monologues from random people wandering around Berlin, riding the subway, committing suicide, moving into a new apartment... none of them mentions Beatles lunchboxes but there is discussion of a pimpmobile.

Quite true Doug why is the FBI known if their work is sooooooooooooooooo secret same could be said for behind closed doors meetings politicians and businessmen do.

There job is to cover a law enforcement angle across the united states rather than in a centralized location. They are alleged to have secret programs connected to them but they were always just supposed to be higher level cops.
The correct question would be directed at the CIA or NSA both who are supposed to be secretive and handle things like espionage and the like. Though the NSA may or may not exist accordgin to some sources but the point stands, their work is supposed to be secretive and held in the strictest confidence. The FBI not so much.
