Hate to admit this, but this show is not as good as I though it would be. I already made some critical critisim in the forums about this series, so I won't repeat myself here. Instead, all I can say is that I hope the next episode is better or better luck next time. Sorry my favorite pair, but this was a klunker and another Melvin dud. I know some will find this bit laughable, but I never laughed at a single minute of this sketch.

I don't know what you are talking about, I thought it was hilarious. "Let's do Highlander 2 then, that will be a success." lol! Seemed like Sean Connery to me. I especially, like how he fused up the James Bond them with the Empire Theme.

You kind of lose your Connery accent a few times, like the "Can I shag anything in this movie?" bit.
Cool idea, but solidify your accents and add more depth to your characters!

This is almost fantastic. Doug is so fraking hilarious, but i kind of expected more. Maybe because he tried to be the character from SNL. I hope we get more of these. Maybe arnold auditioning for eddie murphy RAW. Or jack nicholson auditioning for willy wonka. The combonations are limitless.

I liked it, for one. I thought it worked out. But some animation would help a great deal. I think it'd look good with like, goofy googly heads where the jaw moves all puppet like.

This is great, although i think it might have been funnier for a Patrick Swayze trying for Han Solo sketch. All in all this was really good and I as a fan request MORE MORE MORE. This was enjoyable, but some of the above posters had a point - it's not as good as your usual stuff. Personally, I felt it had a bit to do with the length. 7 1/2 minutes is a really long time to keep Connery fresh (hee, I said fresh), and it shows a bit with the wavering accent. Still, it sounds like a really cool concept, and I'd look forward to seeing more. =)

I think you could do a pretty good Patrick Stewart impression, just by tweaking the Connery impression a tiny bit. ;)

Doug, You're better than this. I mean not to sound trivial, but if you knew that Sean Connery was trying to find more creditable work after Diamonds are forever. Then you should've known that the baby boomer Sean Connery from the 70's, isn't the same grizzel bastard Sean Connery we know today. I mean if you used "that" Sean Connery's strong suave vernacular with Darth Vader, then you could dance around the timing of the innuendo and have a bigger payoff with the punchline.
Srry if this sounds derogatory, but I was just so looking forward to seeing "that" Sean Connery photoshopped on Vader's body. with his little cigarette and california raisin-esqe head. I would've prefered the Sean Connery you're using with obi-wan kenobi, that would've been waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy yyyyyyyyy better
But either way I'am looking forward this new series, try again man; you'll get it down ;)

Meh, I wasn't too fond of it.
Long strings of very similar jokes without a "solid" focus get quite old after a while.

The jokes weren't funny enough, and endless jokes about the same subject matter kind of dull the edge a bit.

Also, like pretty much every poster said, the voice needs a bit of work.

I think this is pretty funny, but I agree that it's abit too long. And no this is not a "Melvin" as things are being called now, but if kept under 5 minutes, maybe 3 to 5 minutes, it'll help keep things more focused, cut out a joke or two that didn't work.

Definitely would like to see more though.

I kinda like it.. Sure it was a bit off at a few places and it was a bit slow but that can be worked on...

Still I'm not sure if you shoul make this into a series... I mean just how much can a man take on himself? Just roll your mouse to the video tab at the top... Onto "That Guy With The Glasses" and BAM one third of the screen is full of the series you run right now...

I think this could me a nice thing but Santa Christ himself with all his holymatic superpowers couldn't handle all these series going on.

So finally i say you should make a few episodes like this when you feel like it but don't make it into a series, not even a semi-regular one like the Bum.

Sorry to say, but this really felt as a halfhearted attempt :(
The whole concept of a different actor doing a particular role than usually expected, has been done to death by everyone and his mother, so if you wanna go into that line of sketches, you really have to hit the ground running to make a good impact, and this feels more like a stumble.
Also, when you don't even seem to bother to check if the jokes'll stick the whole thing really falls flat.
An example;
Like saying that Connery was planning to make Highlander II (which came out in 1991) instead, after getting booted of Star Wars IV.(came out in 1977) That should mean he made Highlander I (which came out in 1986) BEFORE he tried to get the role as darth vader in A new hope(again 1977)
Sorry to say, but that massive chronological mess is simply an example of lazy joke writing.
