Lost stopped having a plot in its second season when JJ Abrahms and the rest of the writers realized the didn't know what they were doing. I think Seth Macfarlane summed it up best. "Do not create a television series about a group of people who crash land on an island, if you don't know where your going with it. Don't just make stuff up as you go along because it is going to start sucking very quickly."

But......But......what about Walt the psychic kid?, the statue with four toes?, the visions of dead people?, the pirate ship, the reason behind Kates rampant permiscuity, the 30 year old beer that still tasted good, the fact that Hurley never lost weight even though he was on a diet of fruit and fish for months?
I've got nothing!!!! THAT'S THE REASON BEHIND IT ALL??
Aww.......I miss Alias :(

I find it amusing, that J.J. Abrams wasn't the only person that conceived of this show and hasn't been that much involved in the second season, yet he seems to be given sole blame for not answering anything. I guess it has to do with the fact his name is the most prominent above all other writers/producers.
