In the coming weeks an actual set, and better lighting will be used in either format, so let us know which one you like better. The Twilight episode or these two.

You guys should discuss the Brave Little Toaster. It's an amazing children's movie, but holy crap is it dark.

Format used for Skyfall and Wreck-It Ralph! USE THAT!

Cross fingers; if Wreck-itRalph gets a sequel, we might get an all character brawl. Something like that should be save for a sequel.

Well the writers and directors apparently have ideas and concepts for a sequel. They would basically explore modern gaming like consoles, online multiplayer, etc.

I loved Wreck-it Ralph - it does in fact remind me a lot of a Roger Rabbit for games, but I'm not sure a sequel is needed. It's not because it's undeserving of a sequel - if anything deserves more, it's that film - but instead because a sequel would probably diminish the greatness of the original by not living up to it.

I personally like this format more, if only because the cut-aways to your faces broke up the single shot format you used in the Twilight review. That single frame got kind of boring after a while, regardless of what you two were doing. With the technical improvements you are discussing (this is weird not knowing which one of you two brothers I'm talking to), I think this format would have a strong resemblance to Siskel and Ebert, and be more entertaining. But those are just my thoughts.

I like this format. you should use this one, and let anything associated with Twilight burn in hell.

    also, look at Nighttrap.

I think I liked the Twilight format just a bit better.
It felt more... lighthearted (for lack of a better word). I kinda liked the lack of professionalism in it.
    Either way is great, though.

I know it's not nostalgic, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on The Adventures of Tintin (2011).

I quite like this new show so far! And I'm looking forward to seeing more.

I would quite like to see you guys do the Neverending Story, or failing that perhaps one of the Lord of the Rings movies? I know LOTR isn't exactly 'Nostalgic' but still it would be really cool to see you guys talk about that one.
  • treep78  - 007: DragonBorn
That movie had better show up on demo reel.

I prefer this format better, it's more to the point, the Twilight one was just overly long.

Also I do agree with Rob, my favorite line in Wreck-it Ralph was "Wow this game just got interesting".

Also Disney did put up Sugar Rush online, but I do think a real version would be so much more fun!

Loved Wreck it Ralph, it's been so long since I let a tear shed down my face from watching a movie since the visuals were so good!

I felt the exact same way about Sarah Silverman being a hit or miss in her career, but being absolutely perfect in that role and believe she may have found her niche` role that will certainly make this guy go, "Yeah, I'll go see it." I've bugged my friends, co-workers, and family to see this movie.

    *Spoiler... ehh, somewhat*

The ending was very down to earth with the characters all expecting so much at first, finding out it wasn't all that great when they got it when it was the simpler things that mattered, friendship and taking care of one another is what makes living life "not that sucky" as Rob put it. How the movie progressed to that point didn't make it feel as patronizing of a pay-off. I especially enjoyed the part with all characters that actually did get forgotten over time, that made my heart go ba-bump harder.

So looking forward to The Hobbit movie coming out soon, please inform us about that one and Ted.

I'd love to see a sibling rivalry on Clue. I feel like it's been kind of overlooked over the years and it's a really great film; especially considering the fact that its based on a board game.

Also, I like this format better for the show.

Yes! I agree 110% on this one, I wanted to see Doug's opinion on Clue for so long since it's one of my favorite Nostalgic movies ever. I'm honestly shocked he hasn't done a reveiw on it yet. So yes, please reveiw Clue! : D
  • BellaWinx
I prefer the latter format because of how you guys play off of each other. Movie suggestion: The Point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!
  • UnShame
I like this so much better than demo reel even though it has nothing to do with demo reel, i just enjoy watching this and the demo reel is just... meh...
    do more of these
  • Darkgalxia12  - I prefer the other format
    avatar
I say this because I just prefer the way you and Rob (Or you and Doug depending on who's reading this) just discussed the movie to the fullest extent this seems a lot more wooden and scripted (no offense I still love you guys)

Doug could not be more wrong. Rob FTW. Pierce Brosnan was terrible he isn't James Bond he's the OTHER guy from Mrs. Doubtfire.

Really hard to say. This has more writteng feel to it but the Twilight rewiev was really funny.
  • moviebuff101
i liked this version of reviews better. its better to listen to and its more organized. plus its altogether a better review

I like both formats, but I think I like this one a little better in terms of location and camera angle--the back-and-forth between the full shot and close-ups makes it a little more entertaining. I think you're both very funny and I love the way you can play off of one another in terms of humor and opinion.
I will admit, sometimes I think these reviews can be a little stiff, like you're going more by script or some idea what you should do rather than actually letting out your emotions over what you think about the film (that might just be me, though).
Anyway, I love this series so far and I really hope you guys keep it up!

In terms of movies I'd love to see you guys review, here are some of my favorites; these are nostalgic for me, but I'm a '90s kid, so these might be a little past your time: Balto and Anastasia.

I liked the Twilight review format.
  • Silverviper2134
Well, here are a few movies that I'd like you guys to talk about that I guess are somewhat nostalgic, since I think they've come out before 2000.

    The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

Toy Story (1995) and Toy Story 2 (1999)

    The Rugrats Movie (1998)

And, I agree with the person who suggested The Brave Little Toaster, though I would also add the two sequels.

I'm liking the layout here. I do enjoy the whole batting back-and-forth, as you two do so well at it. It sounds a bit scripted here, though, likewise with the Twilight episode, it was much more natural (unless that was scripted as well). I understand there has to be a bit of a script so you could do the close-ups like that (though I don't doubt that's a freakin' good camera, and the resolution/compression hardly changes when doing a close-up in editing), but it was slightly distracting.

Anyway, never did care for the James Bond movies (gasp!), but I really love Wreck-It Ralph. Honestly one of the best films I've seen in a long time, at least when it comes to character development. It takes so much talent to forget these characters are fictional, you love them so much. And the fact that I never heard a specific actor/actress through a character's mouth is more amazing. One of Disney's finest pieces outside of the Disney Renaissance, renewed my faith for the company (because this movie really did worry me when I first heard of it).

Anyhoo, keep up the good work, Doug and Rob!
  • ClockworkMonster
Would you really want to be James Bond? He cant live his own life. His work doesnt seem that enjoyable. He cant even have a relationship. He drinks alcohol when ever he gets the chance. Bonds life is horrible. In my opinion Daniel Craig is the best Bond. Its difficult to act a character that doesnt have an actual personality.
Think about it! How many Bonds have an interesting personality. The reason why people like Bond movies are the things that happen to Bond not the character.

Oh God finally, I thought I was the only one who didn't like the James Bond movies. Honestly I never saw the appeal in it, but if there is one saving grace, Daniel Craig's James Bond is much more faithful to the Ian Fleming book adaptation than Sean Connery's Bond ever was.

    Just a couple of thoughts:

    - 10 minute mark per movie would be perfect;

    - put a picture on the wall or something.
