But Doug has to watch the movie, record the dvd footage on a file. Write a script, Re-write it, act it out, Edit it, Re-edit it, as well as draw the title card and do his 2 to 3 week Ask ThatGuy episodes and Bum reviews as well as other videos. How can he possibly have time to make more NC episodes. He'd die of stress.
-
Since Doug writes 2 diferent scripts for bum, Nostalgic Critic, and has to figure out answers for ask that guy, there is no way that Doug could possibly, release an episode every Week. Ask that guy doesn't get a new episode every week, niether does his other review shows, so why would there be a nostalgic critic episode every week. He has to be fair with the fans of his other review shows. :!:

ahh yes... this takes me back to when i watched this religously. B)
that disney opening with all the cartoon characters brought back soo many memories!
Even back when I was a kid I remember this being a pretty deep series. It's cooler now that I know there are some Star Trek voices in there, haha.
09:44...... ew. lol
Ya know, having a gargoyle outside my front door would do a far better job to scare bad guys away instead of a phony security sign.
*le sigh...someday.

Goliath is voiced by Keith David, the most badass voice ever.
The Spawn cartoon wasn't that great, but with Keith doing his voice, oh damn was it awesome ! (by the way NC, you should consider reviewing this)
And he was Vhailor in Planescape Torment man, PLANESCAPE TORMENT !! Now that's win.
"Justice is not blind, for I, am her eyes" pure awesome.
-
The show didn't just end with the (crappy) 3rd season. The new comics are written by the original creator and replace the 3rd season storyline all together. New books are coming out in July and August.

One thing we must remember is that these cartoons were made for children, but written by adults. Disney may be an omnipowerful cut throat corporation with the face of all child happiness, but you have to admit they maintain good story telling.
I would love a man with a voice like Goliath, that Barry White thing is so hot....bowchickawowwow.
Great review NC

My girlfriend has all of season 1, and the first half of season 2 on DVD... Last
I heard was that Disney wasn't making enough money off the sales of the DVD, so
it may be cancilled from release.... but I miss this show...
I wonder if Doug
thought it wasn't important to mention "Coldstone" the cyborg gargoyle
voiced by Wharf... i misspelled his name, but the klingon.
and last I checked, they have a bunch of comics being released either now, or a few years back, the art is pretty good too

06.23.2009 - 21:26 | RedKanaryI loved this show. To add to the list of Star Trek actors, Michael Dorn (Worf) was the Cyborg gargoyle Coldstone, LeVar Burton (Geordi) showed up as Anansi the Spider, and a bunch of others had one-offs or bit roles.

An entire generation has grown up around me not knowing Disney was for a short time quality not just marketing!! :X
Keith David is one of the best North American voice actors of my generation, but sadly kind of forgotten. Greg Weisman vision, along with the whole sub-culture of the Disney Afternoon was buried by Disney, giving us the current era of Hannah Montana and co. (yawn).
Disney excuse for not releasing Gargolyes S.2 Vol.2 is just their excuse for exercising cultural censorship since they won't official release/sell the rights to Gargoyles either as far as I know. Other stuff they've done needs release/re-release anyhow, beyond taking Bambi out of the vault.
I'll be checking out the books too, maybe a new era of gargolyes is coming thanks Lumpmoose!! Just pray we don't get M.Bay doing a live action movie for it...shudder.
