"Mindfuck" is an understatement. Man, there aught to be a warning about all these 11 moments being together, I just feel so... well, you know.
Great video, as always. Man, the amount of time since the last "Top 11" is a mindfuck in itself...

02.24.2009 - 19:24 | LUrabbi

I was surprise to see This is Halloween rank at number 3. I never found that sequence to be crazy. Maybe that saying something.
-
04.12.2009 - 09:14 | TheLaughingFish
Seconded. Then again, I am a woman who is admittedly strange...
... Hm. Maybe *this* movie is what warped my childhood.
-
02.24.2009 - 19:29 | askewman37
DUDE, I completely forgot about Grinch Night until now. God that really really freaked me out as a kid
That being said I think this might be my favorite top 11 list. Lord only knows what that says about me
-
02.24.2009 - 19:29 | Xatike
D:
AAAHHHHHH. OMG. The PARAPHENELIA WAGON. I totally forgot about that! HOLY. F*CKEN SH*T.
::rocks back and forth, sucking thumb::
Someone, dear God, explain why I am crying.
Also, I started involuntarily crying for the Pink Elephants. I think that something got really messed up in me from those as a kid.
...but dear God...I repressed that stuff from the Grinch Night. D:
Otherwise, this was amazingly done. Mindfuck indeed. Very consistent.

04.12.2009 - 09:16 | TheLaughingFish
*hugs, comforts* There, there... At least he didn't mention the Nightmare Scene from The Brave Little Toaster...
... *shudders at semi-repressed memories of that scene*
-
02.24.2009 - 19:30 | who? - wow
more than 1000 birds get killed by crashing with the windows of the buildings............. and no one does anything
-
02.24.2009 - 19:31 | Majora1988
Good stuff, The pink elephants and Willy Wonka's tunnel always made me question reality when I was...
I think they still do.
-
02.24.2009 - 19:32 | OreWaUsopp - Pee-Wee's playhouse theme
Woman who sucked a lot of Helium? She HAS a name, you know.
Cindi Lauper.
But other then that, Awesome .Tho it frightens me that I've seen ALL of this stuff! Not kidding the old Raggedy ann movie used to air on freaking Nickelodeon.
-
04.12.2009 - 09:19 | TheLaughingFish
Doesn't anyone else think that she sounds like Harley Quinn there?
... anyone?
-
02.24.2009 - 19:32 | Maverick21 - wooo hoooo
that video was the fucking shit man, i loved every second! we got the elephant gag, the big lipped alligator moment and numbers that make no sense! im just surprised nothing from fantasia was on there.
-
04.12.2009 - 09:22 | TheLaughingFish
Number shirt should have been the Nightmare Scene from The Brave Little Toaster.
... Actually, "Top Eleven Mindfucking Dreams/Nightmares" would be a good top 11 list. We had a Hell of a lot of strange character dreams in our childhoods...
-
02.24.2009 - 19:33 | mcmuffins100 - No Submarine?!
Why is yellow submarine not on this list, that was the single most trippiest movies I have ever seen ever. Anyway nice job on the list, keep up the good work, [more generic things to put in a comment go here]
-
02.24.2009 - 20:34 | Esteban - Yeah
I was hoping to see Yellow Submarine too. Oh well, still a lot of trippyness to go around.
-
02.24.2009 - 19:42 | Erinaceus - I Have Never Taken A Mind-Altering Substance
... And I thank God that I never did. I can only imagine what sort of epic freak out I would have had if I were high and watching these mindfuck moments.
The admin needs to create a mindfuck emoticon... if it's even possible to convey such a moment.
-
02.24.2009 - 19:36 | animejk2003 - Hate to know this but...
In one of the seasons of Pee-Wee's playhouse the floor does talk. His name is Floory. Go figure...

-
02.24.2009 - 19:36 | Rhomega
...What did you just do to my brain? Who in the world comes up with the stuff, especially the YouTube psychedelic video?
-
02.24.2009 - 19:37 | BatDan - Yep, there is a Floory character.
He's probably the most creepiest character of the bunch aswell.
-
02.24.2009 - 19:40 | GoldenFox - Great list
I remember that Pink Elephant scene. It was so trippy, it was awesome.
-
05.08.2009 - 09:47 | Aces High
Hells yeah, one of the best parts of the movie, when I was a kid I always FASTFORWARDED TO THAT PART, no I'm serious, I really did it was that good, in my opinion of course
-
02.24.2009 - 19:41 | ThatGuyInTheHeadband - That was wierd
Did that really happen or did I just take a lot of drugs?
-
02.24.2009 - 19:43 | Ahlyssah - Hysterical
I think this is one of your best ones yet. You rule, Doug.
-
02.24.2009 - 19:44 | Wraithe13
holy sh*t, that stuff is messed up.
great work! probably one of the best videos yet.
-
02.24.2009 - 19:46 | ephraim
I'm fairly certain the Pee Wee's Playhouse theme was sung by Cyndi Lauper. Or maybe Harley Quinn.
-
02.25.2009 - 07:13 | Closet80sfan
It was preformed by Cyndi Lauper.
Did you know that Natasha Lyonne appeared on Pee Wee's Playhouse as a young pre-schooler? Also Lawerence Fishborne used to play a regular character on there.(I've always wondered what the hell would he being doing on a weird show like that?)
As for some weird-ass stuff from my childhood honorable mentions go to an episode of "Ren And Stimpy" (Blazing Entrails) when Ren goes into Stimpy's body to figure out why's his mind has shut down. He falls in love and marries a female enzyme in inside Stimpy!Another one, is "Cool World". Dear God what a terrible movie!( I hope you review it soon Doug!) The story -arc of a "human having sex with a doodle" boy Ralph Baksehi must be a screwed up person! What kinda of drugs does he take to come up with this crap?
And Another one: Liquid TV. I don't know if anyone remembers Liquid TV from the early 1990s. It was a short lived animation showcase series on MTV. That used to have some really creepy and bizzare stuff.
Nice going NC! I can't wait for you to review "Cool World", this is from the guy that Brought us "Traffic" in the 1970s.
-
02.25.2009 - 10:24 | eightiesman
All I remember from that Liquid TV show is that Beavis and Butt-Head made their mark on MTV with their Pilot Episode "Frog Baseball", to which after that, they got their own TV Show that lasted until 1998, a few Video Games on SNES, Sega Genesis(same name as the show for both SNES and Sega Genesis) and PC(Beavis and Butt-Head in Virtual Stupidity for the PC) and their own Full Length Movie "Beavis and Butt-Head Do America"
-
02.27.2009 - 22:24 | MysticStudiosProductions - Cool World
Cool World was written as a live-action/animated horror film. The producer, Frank Mancusco, Jr., woke up one day and decided "You know what? This concept is just too good. Call up a couple of screenwriters who have never worked in animation before and have them turn this movie into an incomprehensible piece of crap".
And this is why underground animators should never work with Frank Mancusco, Jr.
(Please buy a T-shirt from Ralph Bakshi's website and support the production of Last Days of Coney Island.)
-
02.24.2009 - 19:46 | rabbitinred - niice
i was wondering when cool world was going to come up. it was only a matter of time!!
-
02.24.2009 - 19:46 | Elrik Undersn
Yeah, that's a very good list for those... And man were those some messed up moments, I didn't see maybe a couple of those. But the Grinch one definently, and several others, and although I didn't realize quite as much back then... (some did register as 'weird' even then though) Thanks for bringing us the list Doug, and of course showing use some we may not have ever had a chance to see before.

02.24.2009 - 19:47 | MisterC
I think my biggest childhood mindfucks would have to be Raggedy Ann and Andy: A Musical Adventure, the Pink Elephant sequence, Felix the Cat: The Movie, The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat (that cat is definitely messed up) and the entire last 20 minutes or so of The Three Caballeros.
And by the way, Toaster is my favorite number of all time, except for Police Baton and Dog Vomit.
