Why isn't this widescreen like the Ferngully review? That's rather odd....

-
02.20.2009 - 18:18 | Rasenganorb - Why
Because the point of the widescreen in that review was so that Critic and Chick would both fit comfortably in the frame.

Oh god, I remember this load of shit. I think I liked it for some reason ... I was a kid, didn't have "taste", y'know.
funny review.

Yeah, I stayed up late for it too. It was worth it, of course.

Although I was a little surprised you didn't mention the "battle rock" part that one of the guards references later. He plugs his CD player into a collection of horns. Because apparently medieval horns can translate digital information into sound. That's actually worse than the laser thing. And Dear God...you think THIS is bad. Watch the sequel (if your sanity can survive it). Some of the worst crap I've ever seen.

First a football team (King Arthur and the Knights of Justice), and now a kid who sucks at baseball. What's with Merlin and bringing sports players through time? Is he going after a soccer team next?

02.10.2009 - 13:49 | Dragonspar - the ending
I kinda figured the misspelling of owned was because the critic had brain damage from slamming books into his head....

I remember watching this movie as a kid in theaters and the only reason why I went to see this was that it played the Mickey Mouse short cartoon Runaway Brain just before the movie. Which still remains the only good thing about seeing this movie. Great video.

Kate Winslet and Daniel Craig? Funky butt loving!
I never saw this... film, and after this review I count that as a very good thing. I can't believe it wasn't a direct-to-video piece, it looks so bad. And speaking of pieces, what the heck was going on with the villain's hair? He had like 1/4 of a white rabbit toupee on the side of his head.
Hilarious review NC. You are honestly the only thing I watch on TV or the internet that can make me laugh out loud. "God help you if he has a baseball!"
About forgetting the movie... couldn't you just say, you know... ELEPHANT!

...And by the way, this was also understandably a huge box-office bomb. It only lasted about two weeks. I remember I actually wanted to see this as a kid, but it actually got taken out of theaters by then. Damn was I lucky.

It's funny how something that seemed good back then really isn't that great...
There was a sequel to this movie, I think it was called a kid in aladin's palace or something, it's pretty much the same thing as this movie only it has the characters from Aladin in it instead of characters from the story of King Arthur. I'm also pretty sure it had the same twist ending as well...
