10.25.2011 - 21:48 | Graylander TaggerI was kind of hoping for your last halloween based review to be Jason X. "Shrugs" Oh well. Maybe next year.
As for this review itself I honestly felt the review to be a little weak. Espiecally compaired to your last review(which was excellant). However it's mainly do to the movie itself then the review. The film doesn't allow fo alot of jokes to be made. Even with that being said there were moments where your review simply avoided jokes. A direct contrast to your review of Blair Witch 2. Don't let that bother you though. Maybe next time.

I agree with you about his choice of film to review, but I think he decided not to do "Jason X" because That SciFiGuy just reviewed it. No, I was almost hoping for "Bride of Chucky" because at least THAT one's laughably bad compared to Exorcist 2 (IMO). But it is what it is, and maybe next year he'll review one of those. Unless he happens to like either of those films, in which case, whatever.

yay, an NC video on my birthday
also though, Critic, Pazuzu actually is a mythical demon. I thought it was just another demon lord they made up in Devil Survivor, but as it turns out, it's been around for years.
The Devil Survivor version of Pazuzu is a high-class demon that lends it's power to those who seek vengeance, but I don't know much about how accurate that is to the original Pazuzu

Well done on this day of your birth; as a complete stranger let me confess that I never say "congratulations," or "happy birthday" or even "fondest wishes" because I find them over used. So I will say - from one complete stranger to another - I hope you make the next year of survival filled with memories to look back out and laughs that fill your heart!

Just in case you were wondering, I actually have a definition. From "The Element Encyclopedia of Magical Creatures", word for word:
"PAZUZU -- In Assyrian and Babylonian mythology, Pazuzu was the underworld spirit who had a predominantly humanoid shape, but a canine face with bulging eyes, a scaly body, a snake-headed penis, and the talons and wings of a bird. He protected people against pestilential winds and against the depredations of the demon Lamastu. Pregnant women wore emblems of Pazuzu to enable them to carry their child to term. Pazuzu made a more recent appearance in the film The Exorcist."
The only thing that's really scary is the snake-headed penis...
Oh and happy birthday ^-^

10.26.2011 - 18:06 | Crunchy_FrogPazuzu was an Assyro-Babylonian god (or "demon" by Christian definition), bearer of storms and droughts, the demon of the southwest wind known for bringing famine during dry seasons, and locusts during rainy seasons. Although Pazuzu is, himself, an evil spirit, he drives away other evil spirits, thus protecting humans against plagues and misfortunes. Oh, and he had wings.
http://en.wikipedia.org/ wiki/Pazuzu
Pazuzu was worshipped in Babylon (which was a citystate in Sumer) and in Assyria, (which was a Semitic Akkadian kingdom), both of which were part of Mesopotamia, the so-called "cradle of civilization", in what is today the area of the Tigris–Euphrates river system, corresponding to modern-day Iraq, northeastern Syria, southeastern Turkey and southwestern Iran.
http://en.wikipedia.org/ wiki/Mesopotamia
Given that Sumerians and Assyrians lived in what is today (northern) Iraq, which is IN THE MIDDLE EAST (formerly called "Asia minor" by the Romans), what drugs did the writers of this crappy movie sniff to put Pazuzu into south-Saharan Africa?? Because locusts = Africa?
What's next, an Asylum movie featuring the (Meso-American) feathered serpent Quetzalcoatl being worshipped in Ancient China? Because China mythology has flying dragons without wings? Now that sounds like a plot for an episode of Bonekickers...
P.S. James Earl Jones, why are you in this movie? Have you no self-respect?

Your reviews are tied with Linkara's and Spoony's (when he gets around to doing one) as the highlight of every week. You guys are so funny and clever.
P.S.
Please do another crossover with those guys.
P.P.S.
Will you think about a Disney Channel Original Movie Month? LOTS of material to make fun of and work with.

James Earl Jones, wearing a dunce cap which has gone through the bowels of Lucifer yowls like a leopard, and then turns into one.
WHAT WERE THESE FILMMAKERS ON!?!?!?
It's James Earl Jones, not Keith Stone from those Keystone Light commercials!
