I’ve been waiting for a review on this film forever. I’m also scared as hell of Burt Reynolds since he slapped the reporter. Thank god I haven’t seen any of his films from start to finish yet.
1:29- Uh, the film makers know that having toy guns on school grounds gets you in detention and/or possibly expelled, right?
Actually, I find Jake Lloyd as a better actor than him. Also, this is his first film role.
I hope the crime boss doesn’t turn this film into a musical like “Nudist Colony of the Dead.”
9:37- I wish this movie WAS about The Tick.
11:47- If that show was real, it would be canceled before the pilot episode even ends.
13:54- I would say that the music to this scene was lifted from “Predator,” but no. The music in this film was done by Alan Flappin’ Silvestri, who did the music for Predator 1 and 2, the Back to the Future trilogy, and even “Captain America: The First Avenger.” At least he’s doing GOOD films to make up for the bad ones.
15:56- I think the real question is “WHERE THE HELL ARE THE GOD DAMN TEACHERS WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO BE LOOKING AFTER THESE KIDS DURING RECESS!?”
Was this review worth it? Hell to the yeah, ’cause I now know why the hell this family/cop film is a giant pile of Ass-Ball-Dick.

"1:29- Uh, the film makers know that having toy guns on school grounds gets you in detention and/or possibly expelled, right?"
Depending on when/where the film was set - no. Nowadays you could probably get expelled for extending a single finger, pointing it at someone, dropping your thumb and saying "bang". this was not always the case.
Based on the kid's gun, this is after you couldn't make toy guns look like real guns (loud neon colouring), but before anything vaguely resembling a weapon (even if it's clearly a plastic toy) is banned from schools (usually part of a "zero tolerance policy").

HOLY CRAP MAN. Thank you Doug for reviewing like literally the only movie I have ever wanted you to review. The only film I have ever requested and you have finally done it, thank you.

Good god. It's almost midnight now, and the plotholes are actually making my tired brain hurt (which is incredible as the brain has no pain receptors). I remember seeing this movie once. All I remember from seeing it was the name and how it was not entertaining, not funny, not realistic, just boring and stupid.
By the way, why are you advocating child abuse? :P

So fast on the comments... Anyway, just about to watch this review, otherwise this comment would be on the 5th page once I'm finished with the video.
*I will edit this when I'm done*
@4:02-4:04 "Wellllllll..." All I'm thinking is... Well it's the Big Show. *plays his old theme*
These goons make the goons in The 1975 Superman Musical look threatening. At least the excuse of it being a musical gave them an excuse to sing.
And then Devon became the Undercover Brother.
Speaking of annoying kids... right after this video is the Cheerios ad with the annoying "That's for babies" girl. Lucky me! -_-
Anyway, pretty damn funny review.

Its funny really I saw this moive in a video story just the other day and yet here is the review for it.
Anyway another good job on the review crittic and its clear why such a crappy moive was only being sold for a mere couple of bucks. I think 25 cents is a far more decent price, but good job.
Looking forward to next week.

08.09.2011 - 22:40 | NeosocDo "Stop or My Mom Will Shoot" for your next review, Doug! Heck, do a series of horrible buddy cop movies!
Also, don't you wish ALL mobsters sang in the movies? I think The Godfather would have been much better if Marlon Brando busted out in random song and dance. Maybe then he wouldn't have gotten shot in the back five times.
All I can say is: Pickled beets?! Ohhh no!
Did anyone notice the K-9 poster in Devon's room when the mobster poses as the school counselor? Why in the world are they advertising a better movie IN this movie? Do they WANT you to leave and watch K-9?
This was a great review, Doug! I'm not going to lie, I loved the Star Wars and X-Files references. It added an awesome flare to the review. By the way...is that a different tie? It looks like lighter red. Maybe I'm just going crazy, or a major nerd, or both.
