It's the sound of an explosion from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. You also used it in the Jack Frost review.
Oh, and keep up the commentaries; it's interesting to see your reaction to your own material.

I love this one! I saw your IT one and that was funny but this one by far is my favorite, I love your comments on the creepy Mr. Cherrywood face when he says "The Care Bears"...everytime I watch the NC's review on this movie I crack up trying to imitate that guy's rapeface.
I can't wait to see what you will have in store for Care Bears Movie 2

I've been watching alot of the DIC series to do a FF on ColdHeart and it's filled with people saying "I don't care" when they clearly care about being bad.
I've come to the conclusion that "I don't care" is the G-rated version of "Go F**K Yourself" or a metaphorical stance.
"I am against the the Care Bears. I don't 'Care'".
-
09.04.2010 - 21:07 | takanuva114I believe the FAIL sound effect is from Kirby Super Star for the SNES... But I could be wrong.

Actually, I think it might be the bomb sound effect from Kirby 64. I'm pretty sure of that, although it could easily be the same sound effect because it is the same game series. =)
Anyway, it's nice to hear another commentary from you guys. I often wonder how you personally feel about the reviews you do, so getting insight on that is interesting to me. This was one of my favorite reviews and it definitely seems like it was one of your favorites too. =D

I can't believe that I had to look up the name of that game with the different shaped pieces, the timer, and the entire deck popping up when the timer runs out. It's freakin' "PERFECTION". They used to have some kind of tune to go along with the Perfection commercial, but for some reason, for the life of me, I can't remember it any more.
-
09.04.2010 - 21:36 | Wolfram-And-HartThe game you guys were talking about with the different shapes you have to put in the holes before they pop up? I remember that, it was called Perfection.
Edit: Xelger, the jingle went like this:
Put the pieces into the slot
Make the right selection
But be quick! You're racing the clock!
POP! Goes Perfection!
That book demon always reminded me of Maleficent. I think she's turning the world evil for the sake of being evil. Or possibly she's collecting their souls, I don't know.

09.08.2010 - 07:32 | ZeldaQueenOh man, SCREW YOU, NOW THAT SONG IS IN MY HEAD! XB
I loved that game when I was a kid.
And second on Maleficent. Maybe it was the green face and the really seductive way of talking.

09.04.2010 - 22:16 | EbalancePLEASE PLEASE PLEASE REVIEW THE SECOND CARE BEARS MOVIE!!!
It's called "A New Generation" although I have no idea why... it's actually kinda good for what it is. It's got a good villain, and the songs are better, and overall it's just better than the first one. Actually for a long time I thought the second one was the first one... guess I just ignored the Roman Numeral Two on the box... but the continuity between the two is shitty anyway... seeing as the second one is a prequel, and shows all the Bears and Cousins growing up TOGETHER, and ALL of them HAVE their caring symbols ALREADY... which were bestowed by this big Star Guy... anyway... PLEASE REVIEW THE SECOND CB MOVIE!!! :)
I think there are some colored kids in the second one... maybe...
All of them DO have genders... I can identify them if you want...
What you're saying about morals and stuff is THE WHOLE POINT OF CARE BEARS... so yeah...
However... CARE BEARS ROCK!!!

09.04.2010 - 22:54 | tolchokI was actually gonna post "It's Judge Doom, not Dredd", but you realised it, thank god. Your reaction was pretty funny.
And BTW, he scared me as a kid too. Nothing much scares me anymore, except Hard Candy.

Care Bears was one of things that I cherished most in my childhood. It was my favorite thing of all... I remember one fun trip to the mall I bought a stuffed Cheer Bear while my older brother bought some Ninja Turtles action figures which was his childhood thing...
Then I grew up and got into Power Rangers... yeah... really weird transition... I wasn't even a Tom Boy...
