I must say, I LOVED Rocky IV when I was young. I loved ALL the Rocky movies. The good ones and the bad ones; they were all fun movies! But I do admit that Rock IV was the oddest of them all.

I love the Rocky movies! but they gradual went downhill until the last one which i think was the second best. That robot was the WORST part of the entire 6 movie series

I also thought the Russian translation was awesome. Although, I'd have to say my favorite bit was your additions to the fight montage. They were absolutely hilarious and you are correct Doug; you can put almost anything in that montage and it would definitely be awesome. =D

In all seriousness though, this is probably one of those movies where you should leave logic and reasoning at the door and just have a wild time. Rocky IV may be weird, but it's that kind of fun weird.
V on the other hand... only good part about that was the final street fight.
As for a more poignant world speech, besides Zeus and Roxanne, I can name another. Simba in the Lion King II SINGING a song about unification after nearly killing an exiled female lioness.

Yeah, Sylvester Stallone hated Rocky V, apparently. That's why Rocky Balboa (the last film) actually ignores everything that happened in it.
I learned a lot about the series by watching James Rolfe's video series. ^_^

Isn't it peculiar how you have the exact same opinion on Rocky IV and V as the Angry Video Game Nerd?
I have to admit, I love this movie. Especially the montages. Woulda been nice if you'd made mention of the composer, Vince DiCola, but oh well.
Anyways, another great review Critic, can't wait to see you beat the shit out of Chairman of the Board.
P.S Didn't Stallone write all the movies except V?

Hey nostalgia critic. the reason because rocky didn't throw in the towel was that it ment to much for him and americs. Rember at the time of this movie russian were considered super nazi's. I leatned this because i got to saw this movie Language arts class, and yes my teacher did think this was educational(in her excuss)

Didn't Apollo tell Rocky specifically not to throw in the towel? So the reason he didn't do it right away was because he wanted to honour his friend's wishes and couldn't decide whether Apollo's life was really in danger.

And, of course, the giant Cold War background of the story is so silly, but we ate that stuff up back then. It's so ludicrously awesome.
Quick addition, I'm surprised you didn't have a quick cut in from your own epic bout where you exchanged face punches with The Nerd. Probably too easy of a joke. Also loved the slow clap, hadn't seen that since your sports movie tribute.
