I have a question though. What’s going on with Hulk Hogan’s hair? It’s blonde and yet its silken like that of a Chinese man.

Also we have seen madeline zima's boobs freaky

Ah, yes. That is Hulk Hogan's signature look. Blonde Chinese hair and the skin of a hotdog. It's awesome.

I'm sorry, but this needs to be said: I freaking love your username and avatar.

That just gave me an idea of doing a drawing of a cartoon hot dog with Hulk Hogan's hair.

    Funny review as always NC.

Mr. Nanny! I haven't seen this is years! I can't believe that I actually liked this movie when I was a kid. I should have known better when it came to the Hulkster! *Hangs head in shame*

Oh Hulk Hogan you can't act worth a fuck but still you amuse me when you try.

I am of a similar mind. It's usually at least slightly entertaining to see popular wrestlers try to act in movies like this. Occasionally they succeed, but those cases are rare. Nonetheless, the attempt is ... interesting. =)

Another great review Doug. I very much like your new Scary Slo-mo bit and I hope to see a lot more of it in the coming reviews. Seriously though, those kids were just messed up. Those kids are almost more creepy than Damien in The Omen, possibly moreso with Scary Slo-mo in effect. :scared:

And unfortunately it continues today. Look at The Rock and "The Tooth Fairy". Can you imagine if The Undertaker took part in a family friendly movie?

Anyway, I remember this movie. Even as a little kid I knew that electrocuting someone with high voltage for a prank was just too much. At least in Home Alone 2 the one getting shocked was a wanted felon, and not a ex-wrestler turned nanny trying to make ends meet.

You should see TNAimpact. Dear god, the man can hardly walk anymore and he's back to wrestling. X_X

And, it being TNAimpact, there is a lot of really, REALLY bad acting during the looooong talking segments. =_=
  • Racingcat  - i would hate those kids

Looking at that kid's bedroom I can only think one thing.

    INSANO!!!

Also, has anyone here seen the movie that dares to rip off this boring and ill conceived movie and makes it look like a masterpiece in comparison?

No, not The Pacifier...though it did too.

This one had two guys and came out a year later.

    Twin Sitters.

Look it up, but don't watch it. Just remembering it already has me tying a noose.

I remember watching this movie as a kid, and I thought it was ok now I saw it with Doug reviewing
it and it's a piece of shit
  • axlryder
    avatar
This movie is not a piece of shit. Is it campy? Yes. Is it a little slow paced? Yes. However, I maintain that this film is still acceptable for a movie aimed at 12 year olds. The kid's stunts do go to the extreme, but the Hulkster did a decent job making it funny. The action was above average for a kids movie and there was a generous ammount of it. The jokes were decent, outside of the puns, and the characters were likable enough. Of course, certain aspects of the movie dive straight into the "so bad it's good" territory, but never go so far as "so bad it's hard to watch". The movie was just OK, but in an era when studios were pumping out more shit than a diarrhetic elephant, Ok doesn't seem too bad.

All that said, great review doug, funny as usual. I particularly liked the way you noted how many times the hulk would have died if this movie had actually happened.
  • SayaCeline
Agreed. It's kind of one of those lazy Sunday afternoon movies. Y'know like on USA or something that you just flip on for background noise

You're right...that kid was Spoony when he was eleven! Who knew Dr. Insano took a hold of him at such a young age. It must have been all the Mazes and Monsters!

Was he trying to imitate Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory there? Horrendous.
  • rudy023
    avatar
When you speak of wrestlers doing movies, the only one I really liked was Roddy Piper in "They Live". & Hulk actually wasn't bad in his small role in "Rocky 3". Other than that,... pretty much crap!

Great Dexter's Laboratory reference by the way.

Meh it was a OK review, I guess, but I felt it could have been a TINY bit better...but that's just me.

This was the movie that made me realize I loved "so bad they're funny" movies. You should have added the scene where the kid gets slapped!

Oh wrestlers, admit you're not very good actors and stop trying.

Awesome review, man. I know Spoony has already subjugated himself to it but I can say this isn't NEARLY as bad as "Santa with Muscles." and I would love to see you tear that one open.

Also funny you should mention 3 Ninjas, Hogan was in the third (And worst, which is saying a lot) of those films.
  • darkmindedsith
    avatar
Not to be Douchy McNitpick, but Hulk was in the fourth '3 Ninjas' film, not the third. Just for clarification, bro.

  • mcgoverntt
Awesome. I'm surprised you went with the "Muppet Movie" joke and not a "Short Circuit" joke as both feature Austin "Max/The Dad" Pendleton and you reviewed that movie already. I always confuse him with the Dad from ALF.
  • Fracassi

Oh yeah? Well, I always mix up Hulk Hogan with actually decent movies. TOP THAT. :snooty:
  • mumbls
    avatar
When I saw "The Muppet Movie," I thought that he was Woody Allen. They're both Jewish, have glasses, and play nervous wrecks when they are on screen. Also, Buster Poindexter should stick to Singing Hot Hot Hot. Finally, I would love to punish Madeline Zima...
  • Fluffyman
    avatar
Jeez I didn't expect the "Reefer Madness" joke, I wonder if he saw the Rifftrax Live of it =)

Yeah I think those kids should be institutionalized for all the crap they pull off nearly killing their nanny.
