And it is still used today in the term conjugal visit. All of this loosely implies sexual intercourse. So it's just a pun.

A lot of shows like Animanicas and Freakazoid had these weird, undertone adult jokes in it. You really don't notice it sometimes. However I was watching Freakazoid and I pointed out so many things that slipped by the censor.

That was a nice trundle through childhood nostalgia for me. I really can't believe so many slipped past. The "puberty was kind to you" comment was probably the one that made me laugh most.
Meanwhile, here comes Batman and Robin, which I anxiously look forward to. I'll probably yack more on it next week when you post your review, but I can tell that there will probably be a nuclear bomb-sized rant from The Critic, particularly if the '5 seconds' video is anything go by. (Must. Get. Image. Out. Of. Head.)

Most shows were like this running even into the early 90's. Lately kids shows are so doofy. Even Rugrats had innuendos that I didn't get until I was older. Obviously, the censors have gotten better.

To be honest, I'm not sure why you didn't include the classic "Bullfrog sticks out his tongue at Minerva Mink" moment - that particular character seemed like she was intended only for many, many double entendre jokes.

I was never a huge fan of the Animaniacs, but this was pretty awesome. I love it when cartoons put in adult jokes that you don't quite catch as a youngster, but pick up on when you're older.
My personal favorite: the "Chokey Chicken" from Rocko's Modern Life.

05.06.2010 - 06:20 | Nc fan since 2009yes. Yakko was asking dot for some prints. so she brings back, Prince, the singer. Yakko then clarifies by saying "fingerprints". and dot of course misinterprets it to think Yakko wants her to stick her finger in Prince's butthole.. :S :X
