dude, I remember this movie! I loved it! Unfortunately, I found out the movie's just a piece of crap. Still doesn't change my view on the cartoon
I wish I was lucky enough to have the cartoon collection.

Definitely one of my favourites. I could not stop laughing throughout the whole video and I absolutely loved the Hamlet reference.
But the moment that really killed me was the face you make when imitating the girl.
I haven't seen the film in years, but I remember my reaction to it being almost exactly like yours. Terrific review.

I'm so lucky I tapped out of this movie when Tom and Jerry spoke. Good review, I loved the Shakespeare reference and cussing out of this assload of shitfuck. Power to cartoon violence.

09.01.2008 - 06:54 | Ilovedog - Nice review.
Very good. Now, just out of curiosity, would you ever think of doing a review on Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet? I know it's not a kids film but it wouldn't be the first time you reviewed a PG-13, also I think some people would feel nostalgic for having to watch that POS in high school english class.

You mean that "modern" Romeo and Juliet? That one had me begging to jump out of the window it was so stupid

Great review, NC! This one was awesome! That speech you made, gold. I saw this movie and boy did it suck! Great job! The ending was also epic with Tom!!

I'm sure you don't want to believe this, but... This movie is even worse in dutch! :'(
BTW,... As you prooved at the very end, Tom & Jerry DID talk in the old cartoons, just not very often and mostly not to each other.

Oh dear God, what an awful movie. I'd rather eat the contents of my own compost bin.

I'm not a fan of Tom and Jerry, but they talked and sang. o_O Ok....ay.

...SO WHAT????!!!! THE MOVIE'S ANIMATION DOESN'T MAKE UP FOR ITS SHIT FUCKING QUALITY!! ARE YOU RETARDED!!

Yeah, stay classy there.
From an artist's standpoint, the technical aspects may lead to enjoyment of it from a point of view you're not normally prone to consider. The plot sucks, the characters are butchered, and the music's awful, but if someone can look at it and say "hey, this is a good example of colouring consistency and fluid detailing" then bloody good for them.

Sweet review again! Tom & Jerry was a big part of my childhood, but I fortunately didn't know this movie existed. Seems like I didn't miss much.

And the "Mind Fuck" part was the best, and the constant blowing people's heads off with the gun was also exceptionally hilarious. Awesome. ^_^

Awesome review, now I know not to subject my nieces and nephew to this piece of celluloid shit and stick with classic Tom and Jerry toons on Boomeragng.

09.01.2008 - 07:04 | DeathMetalMike - Oh. Dear. God.
Wow, where to begin...
1. I absolutely loved this movie as a kid, so it is sooooo painful to see how much of a piece of dogshit it is, especially how bad the songs are, except that money song with Tim Curry, that song kicks ass still just for how ironic it is.
2. Your facial expressions of pure terror and the Indiana Jones part made me laugh SO HARD that I thought I was going to bust a gut! And the whole review as a whole was pure genius

3. I've been on here awhile, but I never made an account, but those two things combined made me make one, and trust me, I've been waiting for this review for a LONG time.

Oh my God. I remember watching this horribif*ckus movie when I was young, and being dissapointed like no other. Watching it again, I'm frightened, truly frightened, of this. Thank you, NC, for making me laugh my ass off at how bad this is. I remembered half the scenes from this. Now, they're stuck in my head again.
Wait, maybe I shouldn't be thanking you for getting them stuck in my head.

I am so glad I never saw this movie. Good job, NC. Hystrics is up there with Batman and Robin.

Ah, that is where The Simpsons' "Poochy" came from!
Great review, though! So true, so honest, so due...

I thought he became an addict, but his film career just went to the lowest level. At this point, I think being an addict is better than signing on for this movie. Dammit, where did he go wrong.

I remember this movie. I loved it. Not so much now. You have to do something about the lag in your recent videos.

I don't remmeber Tom and Jerry but it looks like 100 times better then this animated Marry Poppins Bullshit. I am not surprised that was horrible considering other fims such as Simpsons, south park, digimon, pokemon, TMNT (the new one), Batman (the origionals). Hey Nastaingia Critic please review Darkwing Duck and/or Gargoyals.

great review, NC, ah how I miss the good old days of slapstick cartoons
-
09.01.2008 - 07:26 | calger459
Ahahaha, WOW. I actually never liked Tom and Jerry as a kid (I was a Looney Toons girl) but I even I know T&J's silent slapstick was a thing to be kept sacred! I'm so glad I didn't see this movie, and because of you I don't have to
LOVE the mindfuck sequence especially, and am I the only one who noticed that random orphan girl plot was ripped from All Dogs Go to Heaven? Except that movie was GOOD. Argh!Awesome job NC
