That was the point of the joke. Yes Michael Jordan did play baseball, but he was also terrible at it. Michael Jordan was trying to follow the sort of "Bo Knows" Nike campaign. Too bad for Jordan while his Basket Ball skills were unmatched, he was no Bo Jackson.

Yeah. I saw the preview. I can't imagine Jackie Chan as an old, quirky, Japanese martial artist, because he still has to be in his fifties, and he is Chinese. Still, for some reason, I like the idea of a black kid having a bully problem. That's an issue that you don't see addressed very often these days. Also, Jaden Smith is still very young. He has plenty of time to act in better movies.

I laugh reading this, knowing I felt the exact same way before I saw the remake. If you haven't yet, it's pretty awesome.

Well, I just saw it, and it was actually okay. It wasn't too cheesy, it didn't feel dumbed down, and Jackie Chan gave a decent performance. I could tell that the people working on the movie tried hard. I think the main problem was trying to understand the Chinese characters' English. Now, I'm going to watch the Bum's review, expecting Doug to disagree with pretty much everything I just said.

Just a side note: In "The Karate Kid Part II" it wasn't Mr. Miyagi's angry brother, but his best friend who was taught karate by his father.

God I know. I watched this whole review without really seeing anything except Swank. Was Miyagi in it? I could swear I heard him, but...

I don't blame you. As a matter of fact, this was the only time I ever saw Hilary Swank and thought "she's actually looks damn good" Every other role she looks plain or like trailer trash. At awards shows she just looks homely compared to the other actresses.

As for the school security in this movie, there is a reason for their incomprehensible behavior: It's called a hack writer who couldn't be bothered to with sitting around to come up with plausible antagonists for his movie.

Hillary looked good in those overalls. If I had a body like that, I may be able to pull it off.
