Also, side note - did anyone else notice that Doug didn't give his actual thoughts on the movie at the end of the review? Now I don't know if he agrees with Spoony or if he agrees with Angry Joe and Cinema Snob.

It really captured the cheese of 1980s action films (like Commando) without winking to the audience. It took itself seriously, and that was part of the fun. It acts like it doesn't know it's being hoaky, and to be honest, who cares if it knows? It's great cliched action all the way. Loved every second."

Personally I LOVED it. It was everything I expected and wanted it to be. A cheesy action movie with mindless violence and corny one liners. It was wicked awesome!

I would also definitely watch The Exposition-ables. I personally would also add Michael Caine added to that list though. In fact, I wouldn't mind a movie for most genres that combined every awesome actor from that genre. =)
As for The Expendables, I definitely want to see it. It looks fun and seeing these guys together, even if a couple of them are just cameos, is still a really cool idea.
Funny review Doug. I especially loved the Meow. It made me laugh out loud. I'm going to guess that you didn't put a "Seriously though" because your thoughts on the movie were pretty much what you said here.

I think everything said in this review is exactly how Doug felt. Maybe he'd decided to only put his "but seriously..." comment if his own opinion is in contrast with what Bum is saying. For example, Bum always says the movie is the greatest, but if Doug seriously thought it sucked, he'll put that at the end. But if Doug loved it, as does Bum, then it gets really redundant to have to state that twice.

Movie was epic, and did not disappoint. I urge everyone that has any love for the classic action hero genre to see this movie. Make them want to make a sequel. If Hollywood can get a bunch charismatic personality actors to star in a remake of an old Frank Sinatra movie, and breed 2 inferior sequels out of them. You can sure as hell make another movie with this lot!
If your a dude, and choose not to see this movie. Then I know for a fact my own mother is manlier then you, cause she loved it :cool: . So DONT FAIL! See this MOVIE!

Yeah, I haven't seen it, but even if all it is is an 80's/90's throwback action movie explosion fest, it's better than anything else out now. That might just be enough.

An hour and a half of a bunch of guys sitting around and talking the plot at the audience. People would pay! I bet you money they would!
