10.19.2009 - 00:27 | SignNinjaConsidering it had to work with a kids book that was little more than 13 pages or more it did really well.

loved it! though i guess coming up and hugging the monster when it is about to attack you also would be a good moral

I agree. I remember deciding (when I was a kid and was scared that a monster would jump at me from under the bed or something) that if I ever would see a monster, then it'd be sort of prejudiced of me to assume that it's evil just because it's ugly, and it's probably lonely anyway, living under my bed all by itself. Ergo, the nice thing to do would just be to hug it.
(I never read this book, by the way, so that was a completely original trail of thought in my childish little mind.)

10.18.2009 - 19:59 | Herr WozzeckThis movie was definitely brilliant. It was a little plotless, but what it gave up with that it more than made up for in its essentially reimagining the book as a character study of Max.
And LMAO to making the Death Star with toothpicks. Great review; I hope you have more on the way!

and this movie has one of the most mellow reactions to dismemberment I've ever seen. I really enjoyed it, too.

Why do I get the feeling that this review is 100x better than the actual movie "Where The Wild Things Are"? At least the Bum isn't pretentious and overrated.
Still, despite the fact that I hate this movie, good work. The Bum Reviews are how I first found this site, so it's nice to see them more frequently nowadays. How do you manage all these videos and still make them consistently funny?

10.18.2009 - 21:21 | SuperBradGreat review Doug! And I might add, your review was way better than the movie.
But judging from the movie itself, that may not be saying much. Still, that aside. Your review was hilarious.
seems there is no story to me
