Ummm... did you say that if the inability-to-be-found gene is recessive, and if they both have that, then the dominant gene to being normal would take over? If you didn't, everything I'm going to write will be redundant.

Okay, let's say that there's a gene pair of inability to be found that is recessive (n) and to be normal that is dominant (N). Possible pairings of these two genes are NN (normal), Nn (normal) and nn (a fucking Waldo).

According to that logic both parents are nn. And if we put two nn-parents together all that can come out of it are nn-children (as the child would take one gene from the father and one from the mother). So no, the kid wouldn't be normal. It'd be another fucking Waldo.

If what you really meant but somehow flubbed your lines was that being a fucking Waldo was dominant (W) and being normal was recessive (w), then the parents could be of any of these pairings: WW&WW, WW&Ww and Ww&Ww as neither one of them could be ww (normal).

Then what the kids could be:
WW&WW => WW (Waldo)
WW&Ww => WW (Waldo), Ww (Waldo)
Ww&Ww => WW (Waldo), Ww (Waldo) and ww (normal)

The probability of kid being a ww is (very) unlikely but possible.

So, ummm... I'm not sure what you said but I'm a huge nerd.

If both Carmen and Waldo have the recessive gene for being terribly hard to find. They would then have the genotype of rr (r being the recessive gene of being terribly hard to find) Since both Waldo & Carmen have the genotypes rr, when you cross them you are only capable of having an rr future generation.
