No it wasn't. No Country felt more meaningful, I guess you could say. It's hard to explain.
This is a movie that could have been one of Scorsese's best, with Goodfellas, Raging Bull, and Taxi Driver. It was still great but not what it could've been.
No Country was a film on par with Fargo, Miller's Crossing, and The Big Lebowski. The Coen Brothers did it.

I hated the Departed, but this makes me laugh.
Seriously I couldn't stand watching this movie. It was like reading Donnie Brasco while someone took a shit on your face. It did have some good parts, but overall the sense of progression wasn't there and the story telling elements were uninteresting.
Many disagree with me, but that's how I feel.
