I find the concept of 5 second movies great because you need to catch the element of the movie in 5 seconds. Watching a 30 sec + doesn't fit in that concept so the charm is gone.
Maybe you should have 5 second moves in one place and then "5 second +" or "Less than a minute" movies someplace else?

I liked the idea of Deckard being a replicant. I do, however, dislike the whole glowing eyes thing. Yeah, it looks pretty, but it renders the Voight-Kampff test needless.
Oh, and the final cut is cinematic perfection. :cheer:

If Deckard is a replicant the whole point of the movie is lost and the main replicants ending speech is rendered pointless!!!

i think the point is that it is tragic for Deckard to be killing off his own kind without knowing it. At least that's what i can gather about the point of him being a replicant.

Philip K. Dick who wrote [i]Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep[/i], the novel [i]Blade Runner[/i] is based off of was the one who actually outed Deckard as a replicant, not Scott. Anyway great 5 Second Movie of a great movie!

I feel like a better 5 Second Movie of Blade Runner (that would actually only take about five seconds) would just be the part where Roy Batty's head comes through the bathroom wall. That kind of sums it up.
And just to add my agreement to the group...no, Deckard isn't a replicant. That's stupid. If he was a replicant, the entire moral message of the film would be lost.

Interestingly, from interviews from those involved, Scott has said that he firmly believed that Dackard was a replicant, & shot the film that way.
Yet, Ford thought that the audience needed a human to relate to, so was adamant that Deackard was human, & played him that way.
So, no matter what the reality (of something fictional...) is, Deckard & the guy playing him believed that he was a human, so the message of the film remains in either case.

Seriously, it isnt literal, its just a name that means "entire movie shortened" so stop getting your nickers in a twist, accept that this is indeed the internet and nobody will listen to you (unless of course they want to tell you that your worng)

I don't understand why people are so sensitive when someone comments on the essence of 5 sec movies and criticizes a clip that does not fit anywhere near 5 sec movie.
