My favourite thing to this show as actually Shao Khan at the end, not for the ending but it thought it was really well put together when he announces the others' fates to Rayden (spelling?).
Funny how both characters were played by the same actor! Funnier though how Ben managed to summarize the entire marketing strategy for this show in one vid! :)
And I liked the long trailer for Legacy; have yet to watch the show though.
...and yes... ahem... boobies, lolol.

Not the series, but this synopsis. There's no use replying to this because I'm not going to look for any, but feel free to disagree if you want.
I LOVED THIS SERIES!
Apart from the 90s dialog that popped up every so often (particularly from Taja) this was a very well written series and I loved the direction it took. Yes, there are tits. So what? The character development felt very natural, the acting ranged from okay to outstanding (particularly awesome were Bruce Locke, Paolo Montalbán, and Jeffrey Meek), the fight scenes were high on energy and some were intensely brutal (Chris Casamassa as Scorpion - Need I say more?), and the individual episodes kept bringing me back every week.
Fuck TNT for not renewing one of their higher rated shows and leaving Conquest forever in a cliffhanger that kills any sense of continuity!
Also, Annihilation sucks ass. I think that we can all agree on. But after that disappointment, this series ruled! It has its flaws, but none that warrant the disgraceful treatment it got when the network shut it down.

12.24.2011 - 23:11 | DangerousLokiI have to agree more or less with this guy here. The series was flawed and campy and fairly stupid but most of it's problems come from two things.
The first is that it tried far too much to match the tone and nature of the films. And the second was production. From the fight scenes to the scripting of scenes. And you failed to note that almost no one on this show wore a fucking bra. The first episode, Kung Lao's love interest is running around in a blue fishnet shirt... and no bra. Yeah, there was a fair bit of boobie love going on.
Aside from that though, the series was kinda fun. I recently found all the episodes and rewatched them. The fight scenes were god-awful though. Except for the Raiden Shao Kahn one at the end. The rest were horribly cut and as someone observed, there were a lot of "face" shot blows. Just to cut to the actors face as if you couldn't see the fucking stunt doubles you lazy sonofabitches. I mean the guy who took Paolo's place was twice as buff and two heads taller AND FUCKING AMERICAN. And the guy for Bruce Locke was leaner built and while he was at least a breed of asian he didn' resemble Locke enough to be believable.
Sorry, I really hated those fight scenes. The worse was in episode 17 in a fight scene with Locke. When the fight begins he's wearing this heavy black jacket but when ever they do a cut shot it's missing then back then missing. Etc. Later on in the scene the reverse happens. He takes off the jacket before the fight, but every cut scene he's wearing it. It's rather bothersome
Ok so yes, the show is fairly flawed but I still enjoyed it. And I fucking LOVE the finish of the series. Shao Khan.. forcing Raiden to bow after reciting the death of all of his enemies. At the time it was one of the only finales where the bad guy wins. I loved that, and it still holds up.

12.23.2011 - 08:49 | InkmonkeyTo be honest what I remember more from this show is just how many kicks to the head there are. Seriously I made some videos a while back just riffing on this show, and I realized that, during the fights, a good 70% of all the attacks are kicks the head. It's insane.
Also there are a lot of stupid hats and/or wigs.
