I use AdBlock Plus too, but I turn it off for TGWTG. We make a living off those ads, guys. That's how we're able to do these. XD It's much kinder to us to just be patient.

I actually prefer the manga christmas special to the anime special for Love Hina but that my own opinion, what christmas special isn't complete without train-molesting ?! ^_O;

Love Hina (Love Love Hina? weird- ) the manga most of all but the anime was actually pretty good and fun, however, the english dub made me want to take an ice pick to the brain. Original Japanese seemed good but that could be just because I couldn't tell if it was good or not since I don't speak/understand Japanese much less understand the inflections and accents in the dialog.
Regardless its a Harem anime/manga and it has a special place in my heart being one of the first entire season of an anime that I bought to start my collection.

Love Hina is my favorite Christmas special. and it has a much warmer and deeper plot then boobs and buts. Its moving and tells one of the better stories of the series. See my blog for details.

Ah yes the Christmas special. A quick wikipedia glance since it has been ages since I last saw this anime and to my utter disappointment,Kanako Urashima does not appear in it nor she does appear in the other TV special. Fail.

doesn't it get cold in japan? in most chistmas specials in anime I see the characters walking around in the same clothes they wear in the spring or summer, do they have special space underwear that keeps them warm or something?

Ah yes, Love Hina. A friend of mine got the guts of getting both seasons and specials on DVD, we spent evenings watching this. All I can say is BOY! -is THAT second season all just blatant fanservice... cause the first season was somewhat likeable, if not totally frantic.

The Love Hina anime always left me a bit conflicted as there were bits in it that I liked pretty well, but on the flipside it had so many things in it that I also really, really disliked. Particularly anything with focus on Kaolla Su or empty slapstick just really drove me up the wall.
But surprisingly, the Christmas Special was quite enjoyable on the whole and did away with the large majority of the things that annoyed me in the series for a more wholesome, serious story with some pretty good humour thrown in for good measure. I could have lived without that epilogue-style ending since it felt a bit out-of-place within this special, but otherwise the added seriousness worked on the series' better elements instead of focusing on the bad ones.
