I haven't seen this movie yet but I haven't been hearing positive reviews. Maybe I'll get it on redbox when it comes out.
I had just listened to the song at the end a few hours ago on my way home from work! That got a nice laugh out of me.

Oh man, I was just playing "The Passing" on Left 4 Dead 2 when I heard "Re: Your Brains" played on the jukebox.
Haven't seen Skyline and don't plan on it because I hear it's pure scheiße according to Rotten Tomatoes. The only way in hell it could ever be redeemed if there was a Zach Braff cameo and this song playing somewhere in the movie or in the credits.

It's sad too, because I really want to see more sci-fi stuff. I feel like the 80's and 90's had a much more pro-sci fi attitude, and that post 2000's sci fi has become a less explored genre.

11.30.2010 - 13:39 | DevoI saw this movie two weeks ago. For the most part, I thought it was OK, it was the ending (or lack thereof) that really pissed me off. >:(

I've seen "Skyline" on openning weekend hoping that it would be worth while, but I realised that it was the biggest "F#ck you (middle finger)" of a movie I've ever seen in my entire life after seeing the very end.
I love "Independence Day," "Cloverfield," "District 9," and the Transformers films. I also have I liking for "Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem," which was directed buy the same brothers who did this crap.

12.01.2010 - 12:12 | fiercefoxI just want to post a link to oancitizen's incredible review of the immensely important Angels in America: http:// thatguywiththeglasses.com /blogs/latest/entry/ brows-held-high-angels- in-america
This guy needs to be an actual member of the Channel Awesome team, and this review, especially, needs to be on the front page.
-
In order to be part of the Channel Awesome team, one must do more than simply be a blatant movie snob, which oancitizen clearly is. One must do more than simply describe the plot of a movie that they love while oohing and aahing the whole time about how much the actors deserve more recognition for their roles. One must be FUNNY. I don't visit thatguywiththeglasses.com for sappy reviews. I come here to LAUGH. Everybody who visits this website does so because they want to LAUGH. There's nothing funny or uplifting about gay men with AIDS. For this reason, the review which you directed us to does NOT need to be on the front page as you claim.

one of the movies that should have been on the top 10 I like that everybody hates videos. I love this movie, and even if the new movie The Darkest Hour seems like this movie, I'm gonna see that too.
I have the score, the end credit music the metal one is awesome. That same can be said for Godzilla (1998 ha that's alot of fish) one!
it's basically that. And i don't want to copypaste my comment from Luke Mochrie's review, but:
Seriously, it's like as if the Asylum decides to rip off all of them in one film.
And douchebags are not good main characters of an alien invasion movie. This movie is filled with characters who resembles the cast of The Hills (just like what the Cinema Snob said), and thus they looked like the usual folks who were poked fun weekly on Joel McHale's soup.
and speaking of Joel McHale, Abed from Community can make a better alien invasion movie than this. Just give him some styrofoam props and the library's study group room and you'll get a better movie than Skyline.
And since Turk is in this pile of shit, it could have redeemed itself with a Zach Braff cameo (which sadly didn't came true). And the only good thing was the decent CGI and David Zayas's acting. Everything else is shit.
Fuck off Strause Brothers. Go back to your FX work and never sit on the director's chair EVER AGAIN!
