I can't wait for this game, two Halo games in one year, Halo Wars and Halo ODST and no I'm not a Halo fanboy.

09.25.2009 - 19:25 | Vincent_Doomdreddd - so true
When I heard all they were doing was adding a silencer to the smg and ressurrecting the much better halo 1 pistol I was like FUCK THAT I need my money for modern warfare 2, Dragon Age Origons and Mafia II. I was pissed.

Who keeps letting you back in? Didn't you get banned five or so times already?

Okay, so I was a bit harsh on my last comment toward the Angry Movie Dork, but he just pisses me off with that ego of his. I guess I tried to force him to stay off the site for good, but that obviously didn't work.
However, I still hate him.

Thank you for summing up my thoughts on this overinflated "game franchise... I feel sorry for all those wannabe fanboys out there, wasting their money on all this dribble. No offence to all you ladies and gents out there, its just not my cup of tea.

People are just buying the mass marketed bullsh*t that passes for games!
-
09.23.2009 - 20:41 | DeathsHead419 - I like Halo
But this left me in stitches. Having played all the Halo games (except this one) I should know better than anyone that you're absolutly right.
For what it's worth, I've always though Halo was a good series that was vastly over-hyped by a bunch of slavish fanboys. That in turn caused those for whom Halo "wasn't there thing" to despise it.
Oh well, now both sides hate me (possibly including you, Spoony). I'll get the game when it hits $20 and five star this right now.

I totally get you.
My personal issue just lies with the genre. I can accept them as very well-polished titles. I just don't understand the popularity of FPS games.

I was going to try to explain the popularity... Then found I was at a loss for reasons as well.

I think it's a little longer than 3 hours, but you're right. I rented it and my brother and I are playing through it Co-op. It's fun, but very similar to Halo 3... In fact, it IS Halo 3, and I feel bad for those who actually decided to buy the game.
Though it did have some improvements, which I won't go into.
In short, it's a good game, but not worth the price.

Heh, I would have called it "Bungie tries to sucker both Halo and Firefly fans at the same time," instead of "ODST." Seriously, drop Nathan Fillion in anything and Firefly fans will get interested... add in Adam Baldwin and Alan Tudyk, and you'll make them swarm.

Was that a remix of a certain Megaman BGM? Ah, nostalgia...
Anyway, good call on ODST, lol.

09.23.2009 - 21:15 | The_Masked_Donut - Buy Left 4 Dead 2!
I've never played a Halo game, but if there's one thing forums have taught me, that doesn't mean I can't comment on it. I'm sure Halo is a perfectly solid and well-made franchise, but I fail to see what's so amazing about it. The single-player seems very basic, and the story isn't that interesting. Sure the multiplayer is likely fun, but you only really need to buy one Halo game for that, so any additional games should all be about the campaign. Yes, I'm a Half-Life fanboy, but I can't help it. Everything about those games is so well thought out that the experience resonates with me much more. The episodes would apparently seem to last longer then the ODST campaign, and at a cheaper price. To be perfectly frank, I'm sure all the people who buy ODST already have Halo 3 and all the modes with it, and are essentially paying 60 dollars for a brief campaign and one new multiplayer mode. Everything else they'd already have. Buy Left 4 Dead 2!

So the message made sense, but I noticed that Snakeman's theme was used here...

Well then. Makes me glad I stopped bothering with Halo after the original one.

First off, I don't like Halo.
Secondly, the multiplayer in each Halo game is VERY different, and it alone justifies the buy. Although ODST doesn't do this.
Finally, Half Life only has TWO games, and only ONE multiplayer, that was released on the side. What you're saying is that any source engine game is a copy pasta as well. And don't bring up L4D 2, it falls in the same bucket as ODST at the moment.
I love Valve btw.

This is hilarious!! I'm the only one in my group of friends that did not buy this game! Thanks for warning me! LOL
great video!

Totally agree with this vid. LOL. Only Halo fanboys would pay $60 dollars for an expansion pack that should be $20, and MS promised wouldn't be more than $30.
