The only villains i agree on are VIdious and Kira.

I have to admit that I was disappointed when Alucard didn't make it on the list, especially when Haruko did. Granted he isn't the "villain" on the show, but he isn't really a good guy either. And he is much, MUCH creepier than Akira.

This was brilliant. I thought that Legato or Kira would have been on the top, but Akira kind of surprised me. I haven't yet seen Akira, although I have many, many times thought about getting that. Well now I'm out of excuses and must get it. *click* *typing* *click* *click* *click*. Okay, now that I have taken care of that, I might give a little constructive criticism. Johann from Monster, not for the top but somewhere in the middle. While the anime was too slow paced to enjoy properly, it had a very interesting villain. Other than that, I have nothing to complain. Excellent list, great arguments and lastly, but not least, nice performance as the "villainous" type.

Some pretty decent choices, but I regarded Tetsuo as the main villain in Akira...Akira himself was just a plot device.
As was Kaoru, and the nastiest villain of Eva was Seele in my opinion. Any organization that would gladly do anything and kill anyone just to sacrifice the individual minds of every human being to merge humanity into the world's biggest pile of orange juice is pretty damn creepy.

Pretty good list. I'd either include Makoto Shishio or Setao Sojiro from Rurouni Kenshin. Shishio for his 'deformity' and the fact he has killed so many people that his blade is soaked with fat and oils that it can catch fire. Or Sojiro because of the creepy ass smile. He will kill you with a smile. Other than that, good list...

I would've included Naraku from Inuyasha in my list. He was born from a back-stabbing theif who wanted to rape the woman who tended his wounds who merged with countless demons, and his name literally means "Hell". Since his birth, he has made two lovers kill eachother, cursed a family's bloodline with a windtunnel in their right hands, forced a small boy to murder his clansmen, then kill him, and then possess his body to torment his sister, and continues to to merge his body with as many demons as he can find.

That is evil.

Ok, I admit I don't know much about most of these people. My supply of anime has been an is severely cramped, mostly due to budget constrains. DVD's and mangas are expensive dammit!

I still liked the video and the creepy voice did sound like a cliche creepy voice (that's a compliment btw) a lot of the time. Lost it occasionally, but no biggie.

However, I think it would have been prudent to put 'creepiest' between '11' and 'anime' in the title.
As you can see from the comments a lot of people mention other villains, but seem to go more on a Big Bad or Evil Badass criteria than a Creepy criteria.

Was Akira really a villian though? Or even creepy? He struck me as more of a victim of an experiment that went out of control (though I've only seen the film, I haven't read the manga).
Tetsuo did have some creepy stuff done to him, and did some creepy stuff himself, but I also saw him more as a victim.
Well, until he deliberately started to blow shit up.

Also, I will never look at cute girls in wheelchairs in the same way again...


Either way, it was great seeing a vid from you again. Since I love anime and manga I I'm looking forward to see much more from you in the future. ^_^

Great list ThatDudeInTheSuede, altought I do think that Shishio Makoto or Seta Sōjirō from Kenshin Himura anime should also be on the list, those guys are really creppy. Not being a villain, but Alucard also creeps me out but in a cool way I also think that Light Yagami should be the second best villain, the guy **SPOILERS** practically murders is dad, treats Misa like sh*t, is a great actor and the best scene where you see him in all his glory is when he remember who he is on the helicopter... Man, that scene fuc*ing blew me away, it's so..GENIOUS! But then again i never saw trigun =X And Akira has number one... Well its your list and it's great (i think Freeza was a excelent choice), but Akira didn't really freak me out, at least for me. Oh, and why isn't Team Rocket from Pokemon on the List? Or Inoue from Bleach? LOLOLOL just kidding, but i would considerer Kenpachi Zaraki from Bleach

Great list, but I would've included Aizen from Bleach. How many other villains are able to destroy the main character with one finger? Then again, I guess Gin might be creepier because of his facial expression and the way he screws with Rukia and Hitsugaya. Either way, one of them should have gotten on the list.

Agree with many here that there's some bad choices in this list. Top 11 disturbing characters would've been a better title I think...but then you'd have to include team rocket.

On the topic of villians, the Kinshin from Soul Eater should be on the list. And maybe Takasugi from Gintama. I would consider Asakura Ryoko from Suzumia Haruhi too.

I don't really consider Akira a villain, but then they never really developed him enough to make him a villain. On top of all of that what happened with him seemed like it was an accident. Accidental destruction doesn't really count as villainy to me. To everyone commenting, Alucard from Hellsing is an anti-hero, not a villain. There's a difference. A villain is an antagonist, Alucard is a protagonist that doesn't subscribe to morals. Shishio from Kenshin is pretty generic as a villain, yeah the whole burn thing is pretty unsettling but killing hundreds of people isn't really enough to make you creepy in an anime. My submission is the stalker dude from Perfect Blue. I'm surprised I'm the first to mention him.

I can't believe i'm the only one who thinks this list is AWFUL.
Of course opinions differ, but that's not the point here. Somehow I got the feeling that Dude in the Suede just listed every anime show he's ever seen, and that's why half of those "villains" were no real villains to begin with. I mean, Haruko, oh come on! If being crazy, weird, and annoying makes you a villain, then there'd be pretty much no hero left in ANY SERIES. Kowaru, the "villain" that took 5th place, who let himself get killed without resistance in order to trigger depressions. One problem though. Shinji had never any sanity to destroy in the first place. And all that depressing blabbering after Kowaru's death for the last 2 episodes pales in comparison to the movie, where's no Kowaru needed for Shinji to strangle Asuka and to jerk off to her lifeless body afterwards. But the worst choice is your #1 villain - Akira. Are you serious? Akira is NOT a villain, and he never WAS. He was the victim of an experiment that went out of control. Tetsuo on the other hand, had ill intentions and abused his power, until it went out of control too, and Akira appeared to take him away, to prevent further destruction. Now that's a nasty villain there, oh boy.
Please would you actually give it some thought the next time you put your videos together? Thanks.

The list is filled with psycotic villains, I'll give you that, but like many others, I feel that some villains could just as easily have made the list. Take for example Rob Lucci from One Piece. On the surface he seems like just some assassin with a passion for his job, and leopard-metamorphosis to boot, but further into the series, you learn that he's one of, if not THE most psycotic villain ever in anime. I mean, he single-handedly killed 500 soldiers as a 13-year old because they were taken hostage by pirates, attempted to assassinate the president of a ship manufacturing company after five years of him working undercover there (TWICE, IN COLD BLOOD, MIGHT I ADD), terminated one of his team members because he disobeyed orders, and even goes so far as to not alert his boss of a stranger in the vicinity, just because he wants a fight with the main character. And the worst thing about it is that he believes it to be for the greater good of mankind! Talk about a creepy vigilante; a psycho cop, if you will. He'd be a perfect pick for anywhere on this list.

Shishio Makoto from Kurouni Kenshon should have been top 1 because he was just plain creepy especially when his body temperature increases after kenshin defeats him and then he goes all apeshit and goes crazy and then he gets burned alive by his rising body temperature. he was pretty damn scary.

I think Mitress 9 should take the eleventh place in the count down. I mean, not only she gave Rei paranoina since the first episode of the season, almost cause a deadly silence on the world , her frist appearence as Hotaru ALONE creeped the heck out of people, possesed a young girl's body AND YET LASTED 3-ISH EPISODES DISPITE BEING FOCUS AS THE MAIN PLOT. That's really creepy.

And, I didn't find the top 11 eleven counter creepy enough.

Other than that, good list.

Making lists for anime is so hard, given how many there are out there and how many conflicting opinions there is. Just look at how many people were suggesting villains! Everyone grew up and watched different anime shows, so everyone has their own list. I think yours kicks ass, even if it differs from mine. Most of the anime's on the list I had never seen [but I had heard of them, and new some of the creepy villians] but my favorite was Kira.
It is creepy to know that at the start of the anime, he was just an above average student, that just happened to stumble on this notebook, and finding out he can kill people with it, just snaps... O.O Holy ****!
Two of my favorite anime villians that didn't make the list are Envy from FMA, and Miroku from Inuyasha.
Yes, these are like 2 of the most proular anime's of all time, and are "over-rated" but they are the very first 2 anime's I ever saw, and boy did their villians FREAK ME THE HELL OUT!
Miroku is a badd ass powerful demon, that is just scary. His full form is just horribly nightmar-ishly scary and huge, not to mention he's so manipulative and dark. Amoung his minnions is Kagura [she's just evil] and the girl with the mirror [I can't remember her name] who can suck souls out with a mirror... WTF!!!! No to mention the clone Miroku baby created from Miroku's heart [is that right, I still have yet to see the full series]. This series made me afraid of babies.. BABIES!!!
Envy, from FMA, kicks ass. Yes, there are 7 Homunculis, not to mention the different villians differing from Manga to anime, but it was Envy's personality, and creepiness that me me love.. it.. even more.
In one scene from the anime [and manga too I think] Envy, Lust, and Gluttony are at this diner. The manager walks up to them to ask them to leave, and Envy just stabs the guy repeaeditly in the stomache [without even flinching or even looking at the dude] and goes 'We like it here". He then tells Gluttony to eat him.
And, not to have spoilers for the Manga for those people that are behinde, but Envy's true form in the Manga is even scarrier then Miroku's! O.O
But, this is not my list. It is yours... Well done...

Good list, but I'd have put Baron Omatsuri from the sixth One Piece movie in Frieza's spot. From his appearance to that goddamned flower on his shoulder, he just oozes creepiness, and in the last half hour of the movie he just goes all out. The calculatedness he displays when he tortures Luffy is just astounding, and when the flower on his shoulder reveals its true form...

FUCK.

I think rather than just Shion, you probably should have made most of the female cast of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni take the number place. Granted that once you see Meakashi-hen you see that she definitely ranks as the creepiest of the girls, but that doesn't discount any of the other girls by far. Rena for one is creepy in that when she goes psycho, there's not telling what she'll do, but the true villain of the series (watch Higurashi Kai) certainly gives Shion a run for that place.
And it's not just the heroines, Keiichi can also be pretty creepy as demonstrated in Tatarigoroshi-hen (and if you read a translation of an epilogue of sorts to that arc, that adds to it) and technically after seeing Tsumihoroboshi-hen, that makes his portrayal in Onikakushi-hen creepy.
And speaking of Kai, Hanyuu can also look pretty creepy when she's actually being what she actually is (watch Kai, won't spoil it) as can be seen with the brief conversation between her and the main villain at the end.
