Great video you bring up alot of good points. I found it kinda short though I expected a video over anime hair styles to be longer. Hell you couldve gone on for hours over DBZ SS hair. Like how it changes colors and length.

Totally agreed these guys must've spent a fortune on aquanet just to get the styles right, In fact I think one of the only times in Anime where hair resembles even a little bit of normalcy was in "Akira" (Especially on Tetsuo). Also, anyone who uses Beck for their background music is an instant hero in my book (They know why).

Shame you didn't mention the character in Elf Princess Rane who existed specifially to make fun of anime hairdos. His hair was blue, half fell somewhat normally, and half went upward in some sort of graceful curve... which kept falling down, and he'd have to brush it back upward a few times in every scene.

I will certainally admit that Yu-gi-oh's hairstyles are quite weird, but how could you do a weird hair special without including Dragonball? THAT show was seriously messed up. The only way I could tell who was fighting was by counting the number of spikes in their hair. It deserved more than a passing mention, even though most characters had normal colored hair.

Video game character designer Tetsuya Nomura is a source of prime examples for this. He designed characters for Final Fantasy VII, VIII, X, and X-2, Bouncer, Kingdom Hearts, and The World Ends With You. In fact, he did the designs for Brave Fencer Musashi! Apparently, he is the master of ridiculous hair, next to the guy who made Yu-Gi-Oh.

I liked the Video but it seriously isn't that hard to find characters with Black hair here is a list of just a few.
Monkey D Luffy Nico Robin Uchiha Sasuke Uchiha Itachi Hyuuga Hinata (Might be very Dark Blue can't tell) Hyuuga Neji Tenten Nara Shikamaru (I think it's Nara I forgot) Kiba Rock Lee Maito Gai Shino (Urg he is one of my favorite characters but I forgot his last name) Kuchiki Rukia Kuchiki Byakuya Uryuu Ishida Nemu Kurotsuchi Soifon Shunsui Kyōraku Kaname Tōsen Kenpachi Zaraki Retsu Unohana (Ok enough Bleach Characters XD) Ryuk L ETC...
See there are many characters with Black Hair you just have to think a bit but it is much harder to think of characters with Brown hair and the only ones I can think of are Yagami Light and Aizen.
Also there are a lot of weird hairstyles in American cartoons too Anime isn't the only thing guilty of that although if the hairstyles weren't weird sometimes it would get very boring.
But I give it 5 stars and I love your accent.

Can't speak for Bleach, but Naruto is someone of a rarity when it comes to hair colors. I can come up with some subtle reasoning for every hair color in that show that isn't normal, whether it's in the way the villagers are prejudiced against Naruto, the superficiality of Sakura or Ino, or even to make it very clear that Gaara and his siblings are foreigners. Other anime though, black's just as common as yellow, or pink, or red, or green, or blue, etc.

that i really got into thatdudeinthesuede reasons: 1 anime,on a site full of American nostalgia why not some Japanese? 2 valid points anime is weird and so is the hair length styling colors ETC. 3 he references littlekuriboh twice and 4 he does a good job at his show. i will admit there are some shows on this site that just seem bleh but this interesting. keep up the good work man.it'd be cool if you made a new Animenia Weirdness

If you want the WIERDEST anime I have EVER found,look up...FOOLY COOLY.Also black hair is actually pretty common on guys in old animes including Dragon Ball (Z)
