10.10.2011 - 23:57 | JackBurnNot to mention Stephen Lynch's "Prettier Than You". But then again, both of those are Comedy artists with the same idea as Todd. "How retarded would it be if you made a love song where you're not really in love with the person in the focus of the song?"

Great countdown Todd, I love the opening with Chick, you, and Lupa. lol, turnabout is fair play I guess XD
8. wow, i am never going to listen to that song the same way again. Kinda more awkwardly though considering alot of guys uses that song as a tribute video for thier girlfriends.
7. I love this song! *sings along* ^^
6. *Squees and sings this outloud* I LOVE PEARL JAM! 8D Although you have to admit, this is probably one of the only songs about domestic abuse you will ever hear that isn't secretly a PSA about it. Since the lyrics in the song made subtle hints that he physically abuses her "She sees in colours/she sees in red/". (red probably meaning blood and colors probably meaning bruises)

It's a shame there weren't any Weird Al songs in the Top Ten, because Weird Al was known for the anti-love song, such as "Close but No Cigar," "If That Isn't Love," and "Since You've Been Gone."
And what about Square One TV's "8% of My Love"? Or any of the songs from Company?

10.14.2011 - 09:58 | Kymba_ScionI think tats the reason they aren't listed, becuase they'd fill a whole list by themselves. He does on almost every album.

This list is missing

#10
6 guys in a bed with one girl looks real gay.
#9
Sounds like cheeseburgers in paradise or margaritaville. But I like the story. The idea's it turns out the person they're looking for they already had.
#8
Women are bitches.
#7
R.E.M.'s so boring. "Losing my Religion"'s their best song and it's alright.
#6
Bugs is fun and Foxymophandlemama is a creepy jam.
There're some hotties in that audience. This song is the first to fit the outline for this list.
#3
I don't think you know who you're messing with.

You've made it clear that you like to review television and also enjoy Andre 3000. did you hear about the animated TV series "Class of 3000"? it's interesting and each episode has a song in it but each one is pointless and bland. some are fun but for the most part they are just obnoxiously catchy. might want to check it out.

04.30.2012 - 02:18 | maalbe987Wow, that comment brought me so much nostalgia. I almost forgot that show existed.

10.10.2011 - 20:22 | Mr_JohnsonDidn't know how to feel about the first half or so of the list, but I definitely agree where Breakfast at Tiffany's is concerned. I've never heard another song that was so unintentionally dreary.

10.10.2011 - 20:28 | tomatoysyrupSo, pretty much every time I hear breakfast at Tiffany's all I can think about is all the boring times I've had in the 90's. I mean, I was just a kid, but seriously, all I can think about is like, staring out a window at a tree, or watching some bland movie that was ok but I will never remember. Yea, this is a pretty legit list.

I love the title card. Not only is your face grey, but your whole body is also. That's hilarious. I also enjoyed knowing about these mediocre romance songs

10.10.2011 - 22:58 | LearnToBounceAh yes, "Cupid's Chokehold"--that classic love song about the guy who praises his girlfriend to high heaven and then goes and complains to his friends how he's not getting any.
Don't know if it'd EXACTLY qualify, for me at least(just because the guy seems GENUINLY in love with every--single--girl he meets, in a really creepy, bi-polar way), but it'd certainly make it onto a "Top Ten Songs About Awful, Awful People" list :)

10.11.2011 - 11:02 | DangerousLokiPersonally I am disappointed Helena by Nickle Creek couldn't make the list. Just due to it's bitterness. THe song is just this perfect little tune of assholery.
http://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=mgMTJSR70vU Give it a listen folks. Bitter love and cheating.

10.11.2011 - 04:17 | minor_fifthIt is a jewelry store. In the book / movie, it just refers to how Holly likes to eat pastries in front of Tiffany's, the jewelry store. (IDK if you already knew that, but just in case)

10.10.2011 - 21:42 | CaptainAndy27I think that song is more about explaining how you should do what you can when you can or else you'll have to settle .
"And I'll sit and wonder, of every love that could've been, If i only thought of something to say."

10.11.2011 - 09:46 | anonexistentuserHoly crap how did I miss that?! Aside from the fact that he only played a few notes of the melody...

10.10.2011 - 21:07 | voxa.m.Great video as always, although I found myself wondering the whole time what happened to your hoodie. Did it shrink in the wash or did your hair get bigger?

I can only think of one song that I like that... kinda fits on my version this list?
Voltaire's "Stuck with You", a song about a married couple who hate each other but can't separate because of religion (the whole "till death do you part" thing). but the end of the song has a sweet ending where they sing that they are finally happy together... because it's better than being alone in the grave.
-
10.10.2011 - 21:30 | LawrenceI always thought the Breakfast at Tiffany's guys were trying to do the ironic thing, at least that's how I always heard the song. May be because the first time I heard it, I heard the Pearl Jam song right before it. :)

Another great video, but you have got to master the sound better. The volume jumps are just out of control on this one, and it probably mostly because its a top 10 and there is a huge difference in sound quality in the songs but a little bit of compression would have helped a ton.
I know this is a problem with a lot of peoples videos, but they are generally movies or video games jumping back and forth with spoken word on a condenser mic and it is much less jarring then having your parts so audible and then having to listen through the music for the lyrics at a lower volume. Then add to that youtube clips of songs across 30+ years and it gets downright annoying.
I know making these videos is already a lot of work and its on a tight time frame and its free entertainment so I shouldn't complain, I just felt compelled to point this out. I'm sure you wont even see this, and if you do you probably wont care or have the time to address the sound compression in your videos, I just thought it was relevant to a music review show.
Thanks for the great video as always, can't wait for the next one.

10.10.2011 - 21:39 | CaptainAndy27What about Landon Pigg - Coffee Shop.
Everyone says it's a cute song but I just don't like it when people use the words possibly and maybe when talking about love.
It's pretty much like, hey I could kinda sorta think I love you. Just maybe.

10.10.2011 - 21:45 | servo12Do they serve bacon at Tiffany's?
0:40 Weird Al did a song called "Good Enough For Now".
