It's a good cover. I used to like this song a lot more before it was in Fight Club and every annoying kid jumped on the bandwagon and said "oh thiz iz my favoxrite pixiez songz" despite it being the ONLY Pixies song they've ever heard.
But again, great cover, I really like the off-key sound of the strings and vocal arrangement. It still ends like a Pixies song too, I'd give you an A for effort.

Joy Division and Sonic Youth were both Pop Bands in their day, it's not Pop that's the problem in music, just modern pop.
On topic: I like Panda's cover, you seem to be criticizing it on the grounds that it sounds different to the original, all good covers deviate from the original composition, it's redundant and boring to make a carbon copy of someone else's song.

I can't say I'm a huge fan of this video. While it is a great cover of the original song, the video really doesn't match it. It's too soft and mellow for the insanity that happened at MagFest. Now, if it was done with clips from Kickassia or something more serious I think it would work better. But hey, that's just me.

04.22.2011 - 05:34 | Whatever_ManWow, even James Blunt sounds better than this. You lack quality, dude, and it's not that hard to find some good soft and make your track sound professional, but I understand - you just didn't care about it, right? And you make it sound so boring.
>Pixies cover of Wild Honey Pie by the Beatles or the >Breeders cover of Happiness Is A Warm Gun
Yeah, those are great covers, mostly because you can feel all the effort that was put into these, and they were not afraid to experiment with original songs.

U mad bro?
Also making music "for an audience" instead for myself would be fitting for the term "sellout"
I'd let you check Nickleback and the endless repetition they did of their hit song "this is how you remind me".
p.s: also thank you for realising by yourself you're an asshole, because I never said that.

First of all even if the boss of warner bros hear my music and tell me it's not good and that will never be into music business,I won't care like I won't about your opinion, coz so far you acted like a schyzophrenic ponce, switching gears off and on and mostly showing rage issues.
I like the pixies, they don't need defending,I'm not trying to change people mind,I wanted to do that cover because I like the song and share it coz there is people that actually like it,whatever my thoughts are.
You on the other hand, are so butthurt right now that you should buy a huge amount of cream.
Also as a last note, despite what people say,the mods on this website are pretty cool about comments, even if they're pointless or harsh,a mod will not delete them as long as it's not really shocking.
But,if a mod step in the comment section, your "you should die" comment will get you a permanent ticket to bansville.
So I hope you'll enjoy your vacation over there while you cry about not being able to scream like a retarded monkey that you are.
have fun
-with love

Panda I just saw your reply. I believe it was around 2002. In a huge outdoor venue called Slane Castle, I think it was the second or third gig of their 'reunion tour.' They were supporting the Chilli Peppers at that time too!
I felt like a teenage girl at a Beatles gig in the 60's. I left after 3 Chilli Peppers tracks though, I think all of their shit sounds the same.
