What is most amusing to me is the fact my drama teacher would sing this during practice.

Aww, classic Rap Critic. rt where you start to go insane and then "I'm OK." XD
  • ofer4  - well done, Rap Critic.
You found a rap song that makes me want to inject bleach into my brain.
oh... and good review as allways ^__^

There's a lot of comedy gold in this review - probably because there's so much bad material to mine from. *rimshot*
The "Whip It" bit (especially right after watching Todd's latest review) and your freakout near the end crack me up every time. 8-)

Oh man your rage was awesome, but in all seriousness, man that song was indeed horrid.
    I am loving your reviews.
  • Wolfdude  - Whip it real good =P

Urgh... This song makes me think of :Whip my hair...

You know, rap is one of those genres of music that I'm not normally fond of. As such, when I hear a bad rap song, I really think it's awful and I'm probably being a bit unfair in that regard to some songs.

This though ... This is just so bad. I'm reminded of Whip My Hair, a song I just painfully remembered by watching Todd's latest review, through the repetition in the beginning and when any song reminds you of Whip My Hair, you know it's bad.

Good video Rap Critic. You did a good job discussing this awful thing and made it entertaining. I look forward to the next review.

As a dude who loves terrible rap for its comedic properties, I absolutely love this song. You had me laughing through most of this video.

Hell yeah! I knew it was only a matter of time before you covered this one...

This song is kind of a meme between me and my friends, whenever there's some kind of conversation or we're just hanging out, someone will, without fail, bust out a line or two from this song and we'll laugh our asses off. It's stupid, but hilarious, at least to us.

My personal favorite - rhyming "twenty-two" with itself 7 times in the space of one verse. A close second would be all the times he rhymes the word with itself in the next line (Atlantic - Atlantic, yayo - yayo, me - me - me - me, etc).

    Great job :P

Great review Rapcritic. I do agree that it's mindblowing that this guy is so populair.

Dunno if you actually read the comments but I got a nice oddity for you.
This might actually be one of the first "rap songs" out there:

  • CheezeFox

He's not talking about just any "porcelain," he's talking about "every damn porcelain!" (listen to it again and tell me you don't hear that).

Well, it IS a terrible song, there is one man on the face of the planet with enough power and influence to MAKE it popular. That man...is Katt Williams.

    Heh, hilarious! ;D

You are such a likable guy.
    I love watching your videos.

Also it's easier for me to understand what the people are rapping/babbling (;D) about, when there's someone talking about the subject of the rhymes.
    (Much win! Yay!)

Looking forward for more good entertainment! :)

I never heard any of RIck Ross' songs before. I can't believe how bad he is. He gets paid for this? He is famous for this? Wow...
  • Germnoble
But I thought he was Rick Ross the fucking Boss?

Srsly, I can't stand rap. The only 'rap' I'll listen too if I feel the need (which is almost never) is Tupac, and maybe Biggie. Big maybe on Biggie.

That was quite possibly the worst rhyming scheme I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing in musical form. I may have died a little inside. Thanks a lot, Rick Ross.

Why does this poser refer to himself as "The Boss" I'm so sorry to report, but he is nowhere near the level of Metal Gear Solid's Big Boss and as epic since "The Boss" is a female.

I was unaware that whatever his real name is he uses somebody else's name. A drug kingpin no less.

Speaking of the rapper Noriega, considering where he got his stage name from,it's LAMEEEEEE

Oh god the awful memories of Todd in the shadow's Whip My Hair is coming back to me. Why must you remind me of this.....

These lyrics are absolutely lazy. Really?! Jay Z wrote this?! If this is true, then my god that was bad.

    That's one hell of a flip out,Rap Critic. I don't blame you.

As much as he tries so very hard,Rick Ross will never ever be the next Notorious BIG. He must be rolling in his grave with that comparison.

This is a crock of shit. Why is RC allowed to be on this site when he isn't producing original content for this site? This is old content that was on youtube for the longest time.

RC has been on TGWTG for two months and produced only one or two videos for this site.
  • LunaMoth116
    avatar
RC mentioned in his "official" TGWTG debut (Asher Roth) that he started college this year, so he probably hasn't had time to produce as much new content as he'd like. Now that winter break is coming around, that might change. It's not as if these episodes aren't entertaining (IMHO, and going by the reception they've gotten here) just because they aren't new.

While this stuff may be available on YouTube, that doesn't mean everyone has checked or will check it out there. At least RC gets revenue from Blip. And as you said yourself, it's only been two months. Some TGWTG producers (without naming names) who've been here a lot longer have had much bigger slips in their production schedules for whatever reason(s). Give RC credit for at least giving the community here *something* between new videos. 8-)
  • THOOM
    avatar
I don't know it that's good enough an excuse. If he is focusing on his education, more Power to him, but he should have declined the invitation to the site if he couldn't produce new content. That way, TGWTG could've gotten a rap critic that produced new videos.

However, he is on the site now, and I will begrudgingly hold my tongue and be here when there is NEW RC content.
  • A Free Thinker
    avatar
You totally need your Rap Critic fix don't you? You NEED the new videos! It's not like the world isn't going to end or anything.

Get over it man, it's just a website.
  • THOOM
    avatar
It isn't that I need a fix or am having an aneurysm over a website. No, it is the fact that allowing subpar content on the site (like MarzGurl and 70 percent of the Blistered Thumbs reviewers) or allowing good producers
(like Todd, RC and NChick) to be lax in their duties leads to...viewer discontent. Viewer Discontent leads to viewer dissent.Viewer dissent leads to a downward spiral in popularity and a backlash that kills Channel Awesome. In order for that to be prevented, and for TGWTG and Channel Awesome to thrive, the Admin of this network should purge the channel of the mediocre "talent" and the slackers.

Doug and Rob, Linkara, Angry Joe, Spoony, Brad Muthafuckin' Jones, Phelous, NChick's Nella, Bennett and a few others here are pretty top notch entertainers and their collective powerhouse talent shouldn't be watered down by the slackers. Get rid of them, nip 'em in the bud. Thanks for your time.

I regret to inform you that just because you dislike certain contributors does not mean that other people share your feelings. The contributors you mentioned have solid fanbases and as long as they do (barring unforeseen circumstances), they are not going anywhere. Whether you feel those fanbases are deserved or not is beside the point. No one has a loaded gun to your head saying you have to like or watch those producers.

Also, while it is true that contributors are responsible for producing entertaining content, and optimally doing so in a timely fashion, the fact remains that all of them have lives outside this website (as I presume you do) and real life can sometimes get in the way of having a consistent production schedule. So it goes.
