08.20.2011 - 15:44 | ladydisketteI remember seeing this at a dorm room one night, didn't scare me as expected but the ending where the camera pans up to the boy with hollowed out sockets where his eyes should be pretty much made my skin crawl and creeped me the fuck out.

Solid episode. Especially loved how Lupa saved the day there.
This movie sucks. Not to mention everyone I knew back when this movie came out had an obsession with watching these types of films just for the gore, disregarding any tension these films have. "Horror films don't work that way!"

Wow, I haven't even gotten to the review part yet and I have to comment. That intro was possibly the best intro I've ever seen on this website.
Just curious, what's the garlic sandwich thing about?

Was the idea just that any mundane object could serve as a deus ex machina? Also didn't get the exchange towards the end about Juilliard and googling it didn't help any.
Despite those problems this was a great review!
Questions:
Why is it called the creepets if it leaps and lunges at you?
If Miss Cleo knows so much about the creepers back story why didn't she know how to stop it or least protect yourself from it?
Did anyone else see the creeper in close up and think Large Marge from Pee-Wee's Big Adventure looked scarier?

I think the license plate thing is supposed to come from "six-A-4EVR" which sorta might sound something like "sexy forever". 'Cause six and sex sound similar. Get it? GET IT?
Therefore the movie clearly doesn't suck.

I am going to miss Phelous D1...oh wait, YAY! I always thought he was sexy in that coat and hat but now he is a cute kitty! Epic win! :D
Loved the Cameos by ChaosD1, Lupa, and Oancitizen btw but garlic sandwiches yuck! XP

I must admit though the Creeper can be slightly scary (that's me being too generous). Yet catch me in the right mood and I'll tell you that this movie is at least a step above the other bad horror movies like Boogeyman or Cabin Fever. It's a guilty pleasure for me in terms of bad horror films.
Another fine example of the Horror Movie main characters doing stupid things like going back to the abandoned church without police, back-up, or even a weapon in case of trouble. "The Creeper is somewhat scary, but it definitely has it's ridiculous moments," is what I thought until I saw Jeepers Creepers 2 and changed it to numerous stupid moments.
Great to see this movie finally in your line of fire. Now on to the far worse sequel, Jeepers Creepers 2. They often play Jeepers Creepers 2 on the toilet of televised b-movies, the Sy-fy channel, during Halloween (because it has nothing to do with Halloween?).
Yes, Jeepers Creepers 2 which is full of WONDERFUL characters like the 1-dimensional jocks, band geeks, the one girl that knows more than the others about the Creeper, and the one gay guy. Stir these ingredients well, set oven for 375, 15 minutes and voilà, Movie a la Sh*t.
Also, the Creeper looks like it has a vagina on it's nose. Enjoy that Phelous and thanks for finally reviewing this!

If we don't remember Eli Roth's terrible film (or just his film library in general), what hope is there for the future generations that movies like THAT are examples of failing at the highest degree to grasp the concept of "HORROR" and mistake horror for exploitative tripe.
Believe me that film is in Cinematic Hell with the rest of his garbage.
Just don't read the Wikipedia page on it. It's a headache.

Eh, I felt this movie was alright. It wasn't horrible like Boogeyman or Cabin Fever, but it wasn't anything to write home about. If anything, Jeepers Creepers works somewhat as a B-movie creature flick.

In case you are planning to do the sequel to this movie, I wanted to let you know a little factoid about the composer for this series, who is a family friend of mine. He's also the composer who wrote the theme song to Full House. It'd be great to see that referenced.

Seriously, seeing the Mac guy arguing with his sister is like seeing an Apple store employee arguing with a customer.
It would be great if it was a horror film set in an Apple Store instead of a horror road film. Think of Clerks meets the Boogeyman.
And John Hodgman should play the Jeepers Creepers monster who tries to kill Apple Store customers for ditching their PCs.
