Nah, i thought he was into cosplaying deformed bunnies nowadays.
But yeah, this was better than the other Boogeyman series. And it says something when even Uli Lommel can make a better film titled "Boogeyman" than Sam Raimi.
But i bet the second movie's gonna suck.

Great review Phelous, I understand that as a genuine horror movie, it sucked. But anyone else besides me cringe at the scene where the metal spike pierces the back of the guy's head which later impales his girlfriend in the "mock" kiss death.
Because I don't know about you guys but that part just made me shudder a little. 0.0

Since he's on a Boogeyman kick, anyone here remember that awful made-for-TV Disney "horror" movie about the Boogeyman? I think it was called "Don't Look Under The Bed" - not saying he should review that one, as it's Disney horror (so that should say enough) but all this Boogeyman reminded me of that movie for some reason. o_O

Lol, I remember watching that movie when it came out. I was still a kid. ....I am ashamed to say that one part of that movie did creep me out. XD Just the smoke and lights coming from under the bed. >___> blegh.
Hm. Maybe because both main characters in each movie had something to do with the creation of said "Boogeyman"?

Even before he made "Zombie Nation," the director sure as hell knows hope to make crap. BTW, he didn't direct the sequel, and according to IMDB, that film sucks more that this one.

You do know you now need to review Mirrors(another lame modern horror movie about ghost mirrors with the now generic ghost looks and designs), The Candy Man Trilogy, and Urban Legend: Bloody Marry(A semi-sequal to the movies about a killer killing people based off old urban legends except this one it's all being done by the ghost of Bloody Marry... so yeah more mirror ghost!)

How I wish I could rewrite this movie to make it a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure spinoff about J. Geil and his "The Hanged Man" stand. Oh, how better it would have been.

Ever notice how personal acts of violence in fiction somehow create curses and boogeymen that can kill people off left, right, and center, like in The Grudge or this movie? I mean, forget wars and genocide, forget execution chambers and hospitals - it's those isolated murders in people's homes that you have to look out for.
Cheap writing. Such hacks should be banned from making movies.
Thoughts:
- You do silence well, Phelous.
- Kid gets his neck crushed by a window pane... impressive. Lady killed by medicine cabinet mirror... more impressive.
- Isn't it time to come out of the closet? Oh, wait, one more movie.
Good review.
