Hey, I like this movie. I dare you, nay I challenge you to find me a better nazi zombie movie. Yes this may not be the best zombie movie out there but you know what, its from Germany, ad Germany gave us 'Hostel' and Phelous hates 'Hostel'. Granted I hate 'Hostel' too but you have to admit, this is at least better that 'Hostel'.

I watched the non dubbed version, and the dialog made a lot more sense ... coffie guy for example said "Who made this coffee ... It tasts like shit!"
Any way, I don't know why, but I liked this movie quite a bit, though it does drag in places.
Nice review, but it really doesn't touch on the right points of the movie.

Hostel is from the USA, not from Germany. What made you think, it was from Germany?

Much better than your last video imo, very funny.
Glad you covered the movie, it's shit. For the record I like it most when you cover zombie movies. I'll be waiting for the days when you cover "Zombies gone Wild" and "Zombie Strippers". :) If you never even heard of them, go see them. They're just wretched. Perfect Phel materials there.
I'd like to add that if you get the right kind of girl, she wouldn't mind some BDSM. :) He just needs to get a more exotic chick.

the only good thing that came out of this turd was the concept of nazi zombies so the non labodomized people of Treyarch could put the Kick ass, funny as hell, awesome Nazi zombie survuval mode in WaW and Black ops. their version has characters who are smart and funny and are developed, nazi zombies that are threating and act act the way real zombies should act, and a conspirincy that gives an explaination of why there are nazi zombies

There's snow doubt, this was a great review.
Awesome, Phelous!
*Grab pillow and suffocate 'playfully'*
"Relax... relax..." Wow, I couldn't help but laugh at how stupid that part was.

I thought along similar lines. Honestly though, the line fit astonishingly well in a very twisted way. :)
Another great review from you Phelous. This seemed like a very stupid and silly movie in almost every aspect. I could imagine watching it with friends and laughing at it the whole way. Seriously though, there were some really off things here. What was with that pillow thing and the exposition guy? That was possibly the worst instance of a reason for an exposition character that I've seen.
I loved your usage of the shotgun, Troll 2 music, and classical music violence jokes in this review. Keep up the good work. Also, I'm going to be surprised if that pillow thing doesn't turn out to be a running joke. ;)

How about doing an Outpost review? Its another nazi-zombie movie with plot holes you could fire a nuke into. Starring the perv from Doom, the last guy to play the Punisher(why is it that nobody on the site has riped the Punisher movies a new one?) and that raver guy from Spaced.
I'm surprised you didn't show the «I won't turn nazi zombie because my grampa is jewish» joke.

I remember watching this movie with my Dad once, but we watched it subbed. We both enjoyed it, not because it was good, but because of how stupid and awkward it got at times. It's kinda fun to watch (the last half at least) if you don't really take it seriously, but honestly how could you?
Thanks for the great video!

Hey, i like Dead Snow. It could have used a lil more shit sex though.
Anyways, i think this movie is more meant to be watched with its original Norwegian dub. The English dub leaves out alot of stuff that made the film interesting.
Phelous, If you watch it with its original Norwegian Dub, it would make a way better experience than what you saw.

You'd be surprised how often you run into Nazi Zombies in the B-Movie world. All those rumors about secret weapon projects and Hitler's fascination with the occult has made for a few colorful story ideas. Of course, "colorful" doesn't equal "good."
Thoughts:
- You look cold, Phelous.
- "I think this will just take care of itself." In the entire history of zombie films, has that ever happened?
- You know, for being over six decades old, those were some good looking Nazi zombies. Even their clothes were pristine. Cold does a zombie good.
- That guy looked really angry at being stabbed over and over and then torn apart. What a blow for him.
- Never mock the snow.
Good review.

I like watching Phelous getting hit in the crotch! That's artistic gold right there!! :D
Now if it were a football, that would be oscar gold!
Also Phelous how can you stay out in the cold so long? Well I guess canadians have an affinity for the cold.. I being a Texan who has never actually seen snow for reals.. would probably die :(
NAZI ZOMBIES!!
Also Phelous you laugh a lot at suprised people/orcs/zombies lol! :D

This movie is fantastic. If you watch it like it's a horror movie you'll be disappointed, just as you would be if you did the same with Leprechaun, or Scary Movie, or Snakes on a Plane.
This is a fucking comedy. It's meant to be silly and hilarious, and it succeeds in both of those aspects superbly.

I don't see how Phelous was "unfair" to this movie. He said for a horror-comedy, he was expecting a lot more and that it was too slow moving. He even admitted the fights were cool, but that there wasn't enough of them.
Just because a movie is a "comedy," doesn't you can litter it with pointless, awkward scenes. The suffocation play, the shit sex, the old man just staring... Where is the funny in these scenes? If you thought they were funny, great, but don't say he judged it unfairly just because you thought it was funny.

How does arguing about Evil Dead make it good? How does it being a B movie excuse the slow pacing? For the record I've seen it and it was OK, but there's plenty to riff on.
Being a B movie isn't an excuse, copying crappy characters then winking at the camera about it still makes your characters crappy.

How do you screw Nazi Zombies? It's one of this things, that are awesome enough on their own, it should be impossible to make a bad movie about them. Sort of like a Civil War Confederate Zombie Cannibals!
Oh, and the chainsaw-amputee-guy, I think he tried to pull a Bruce Campbell on this one but failed. Miserably. And utterly.

My friends and I had a zombie party recently, and we watched this movie, along with Zombieland and [REC]. This movie almost killed us. You're right, Phelous; this movie is hellishly boring. The funny moments are so sparse that when they do arrive, you're almost more irritated than entertained. Something mildly amusing would happen, and then I'd think: "Oh. That's funny. When are we going to see them fight the zombies?" That was the other thing that irked me; for a zombie movie, it had almost no zombie scenes. And I was one of the ones who suggested that we watch the movie too... most unfortunate. You have no idea how many brain-shaped cupcakes I had to eat to make myself feel alive again.

Return of the "stupid surprised" joke. I was wondering when the next stupi surprised person or animal was going to show itself. ^^
As for the m ovie in general; I guess no-one nowadays can make a decent zombie flick. Hell, evne George Romero finally fell prey to the idiocy of what modern horror movies turn out like.

Hey, to each their own. Phelous doesn't lose any respect or brownie points for disliking or finding fault with a movie.
Personally, I enjoyed it, but I'm a generally accepting guy. Of course, I watched the subtitled version, so the dialogue was more acceptable all around.
Fun fact, Dead Snø(go Norwegian spelling!) was actually a college project. At least, that's what I found when I researched it.
