I really do enjoy Silent Hill. So many audio jump scares, so little time! It's not often that a PSX can keep me on edge so often!
I also like how Phelous is not hesitant to use guns, like I am. I'm always afraid that I'll run out of ammo, so I never use it, so I might as well have had no ammo to begin with. It got quite frustrating when I was trying to kill those lousy naked dogs or those giant cockroaches with a frikkin' steel pipe. :-p

Resident Evil will do that to you. Want to kill all the zombies? Too bad! Just run. Or die. One or the other is fine. The REmake was especially bad with ammo, since EVERY ZOMBIE you didn't light on fire turned into a crimson head, unless you got a coveted headshot.

Silent Hill 2, for sure. Its symbolism is through the roof, and it seems to be the most bleak game for me.

I would also have to say Silent Hill 2 is my favorite. Most everything in the game just seemed to work really well together and with the looming threat of Pyramid Head, I never felt completely safe. He had a tendency to pop out when you were least expecting it.
Still, this game is great as well. You have to love Harry and the game is still very well done. While playing the games a lot may make the scares not really scary, the first time through, it was pretty freaky. I always thought that the one with the cat, both in the foggy town and the Otherworld, was nicely done and quite effective.
Anyway, another great part of your Let's Play Phelous. It's cool to hear what you have to say about a game you like so much, especially when it's still pretty funny. Keep up the good work.

Or look up some of the very entertaining lets plays off it. Of course playing that game blind would be preferred since you would otherwise know the scares beforehand.

I do like how Harry provides his own commentary too. Also thank god for those fast-forward edits! No where near as fun to watch as Spoony's LP's (he benefits from a stronger vocabulary), but playing such a beloved game makes for a good time.

I'm kind of disappointed with these let's plays with Phelous. Sounding jaded and bored does not equal humor. You just seem so uninterested in what your playing it's kind of a drag IMO :(
