YAY MIKE J!
And again, why aren't these Anaconda movies made by Corman? It would have more watchable that way.
And oh wait, this movie also starts that British bloke from Coronation Street who also appears in RE Extinction and Transformers 2.
Can you please stop appearing in crap Mr. Marsden? I can't believe Mike J didn't told us that in this review.
Oh and since this is Borneo, everyone has got to be Chinese, eventhough there's more Ibans, Malays, Dayaks, Melanaus and Kadazans combined than there are Chinese people. And in the year 2004, most of Borneo doesn't look like villages anymore, SO CAN YOU STOP SHOWING SOUTH EAST ASIA BEING FILLED WITH SHANTY TOWNS AND THIRD WORLD INFRASTRUCTURE?! Seriously, no villages in Malaysia and Indonesia(including Borneo states of Sabah & Sarawak and the Indonesian territory of Kalimantan) look like it came from a 1930's adventure film anymore. Also, not many natives in borneo are dark-skinned, unless if the British colonists brought them from the Amazon or something, which seems likely with Matt Marsden in this film.
And there's no such place called "Mendranang". If it did, then it would have appeared in Google Search. You're just making up places movie instead of using ACTUAL Borneo rivers like Rajang or Kinabatangan.
Oh, and here in Borneo the rivers have phone coverage installed thanks to Malaysian and Indonesian telco providers like Celcom and Airtel giving access to rural areas. So why is the bitch using a "walkie-talkie"-looking phone instead of a normal cellphone? Oh right, it's for cliche tension and to piss off South East Asia's developing infrastructure.
And yes i have alot more to complain about the portrayal of Borneo in this movie since i am from Borneo myself.

09.30.2010 - 12:48 | Zeky0ZekyYou should learn from the awesome Eli Roth that Americans don't care about the world around them...
Yeah, it's even more stupid that it was probably filmed in Borneo so they had to see that it don't look like that.
Phelous, you are awesome but you should be killed by the cute snake MikeJ had thought.
By the way I don't like bother you with that but at 7:28 the video shrinks again.

09.29.2010 - 22:59 | theChancellorHey Phelan answer me this, It was mentioned in the NC updates that Doug was going to make The Leprechaun review into a crossover with somebody but didn't disclose who.
So just between you and YOUR fans, you being the horror movie connoisseur around here; was wondering if you were the mystery guest mentioned or not?
I was going ask you this sooner, but with it nearing October and me not being able to handle the suspense I thought now would be the right time.
And if you are doing that review, really give it your all I'am really looking forward to it. :want:

Great review, but as always:
- Here I thought that everything was better with monkeys. Anyone else think "Night of the Surprised Monkey" would be a better premise for a movie than this drek?
- Taking bets that next week will be another snake-themed outing. Personally, I hope it isn't "Snakes on a Plane" because that one was clearly not meant to be taken seriously. We have to pick on the bad movies that are pumped full of hubris and hackery. But our choices may be slim. I suspect there isn't another Anaconda film out there, right?
...Right?

It's the RULE that the most annoying character survive; That's why so many teens were still alive in Snakehead Terror.
I don't know what to say the monkey won't do.
Cute Korean guy, ugly captain.
It would take an Anacaonda a good while to swallow a human whole & after that it wouldn;t be able to move much until it either digested the meal or regurgitated it. & they're slow-moving snakes in-general.

XD Wow! How cool you're reviewing the Anaconda movies!
This one here was the first movies I saw, actually. And at the time, eh, it wasn't AWESOME, but to me it was okay. And I re-watched it again recently. Not much on me. I liked it for the giant snake and the scenery, really.
I did see one of the sequels, and I think I may have been sick at the time, I don't know, but man that one...I think it was the third or fourth one, I completely forget. But the CGI for the Anaconda in THAT movie was so fake. And I hardly ever complain about effects.
And then the first movie, which you recently reviewed. I saw that one twice, and didn't see it until after I saw the first one. That one, to say the least, was weird too. I mean REALLY weird. But I digress.
Your reviews rock. X3 I hope you'll do the other Anaconda movies! But if you don't, no worries. Whatever you decide to do is cool by me. :D
And thanks for the geography lesson, I honestly once thought Borneo was in South America. XD I'm an idiot. Thanks for clearing that up!

I highly enjoyed this. Nice to see Salli Richardson from Eureka and Morris Chestnut from the V television remake. Always fun to see cool people in poor movies.
Not to refute your video, I liked it just fine, but venom isn't normally fatal when ingested. Only when it enters the blood stream is when it's dangerous. Stomach acid is enough to destroy anything life threatening.
Huzzahs all around. I am a nerd.
