is it me or do these screenwriters never do their research and just pull logic out of their asses?

In situations where internet static TV ghosts come out of the internet, there will be three solutions to this problem:

1)The Military could use EMPs on Communications Towers thus disabling connections (And u don't need to nuke the atmosphere to create an EMP, you can just get those EMP grenades the military created)
2)The US Government will supply citizens with Ubuntu Boot CDs to stop virus spreading.
3)If the cities are empty, then no one will use the electricity. And therefore it will turn off after 1 week and thus ghosts won't be able to travel and might vanish.

Seriously, don't they look at these three options?

DO SOME RESEARCH MOVIE!

The Pulse Trilogy along with M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening are pretty much the most unresearched apocalyptic films ever made. The fact that internet ghosts causing suicidal apocalypse without any government intervention really pisses me off just like trees causing a suicidal apocalypse.

Usually, apocalyptic and disaster films always have their research done, even if it's directed Roland Emmerich and Michael Bay.

This? Congratulations movie, you managed to throw logic at a post-apocalyptic movie for the sake of jump scares. No wonder why the horror film genre is filled with thrash.

Think you're given the writers of this movie far too much credit to think they spent any time thinking about, let alone researching, the ideas for this movie. This was obviously something someone scribbled on a bar napkin while they were drunk and thought it was the most brilliant idea for a set of movies ever.
