Not that its bad or anything, but Wesker had all this dead space from the tilt and pan to work with and didn't do anything with it. I mean I think it would it been better if JewWario was the internet ghost behind the wall. just saying

I only told Wesker JewWario was going to cameo, I didn't tell him what he'd end up doing. Besides I think it's better kept to the end for that particular part of the CAMEO!!!

I mean remember the "Deaths of Ian Stone" review? He portrayed Doug as one of those Grim reaper rejects from the film, hinted his appearance sometime within your review.
I am just saying portraying JewWario like that by the source material would've been a lot more conventional

Man I love KAIRO ... and I thought the scene with ghost walking towards the cam until his face pops in close up was very scary...
and yeah... the Japanese version was Brown :)

I'll be honest with you, Phelous. I tune it every week not for the review...but to see what games you have on the background! :p . This week the theme is ported games it seems.
But regarding the review, great job! I'm not into horror movies, but I always enjoy your trashing of said movies. And the cameos were great, too!
I also noticed in the final shot that you have a plushie of Murky Dismal from Rainbow Brite. I don't know which is sadder...that you have that character or that I noticed it! =_= :snicker:

great review phelous. especially loved the dial-up sound you put in when the spider ghost killed that one useless chick. I'll give this movie credit it atleast tried compared to driving around at night THE MOVIE which did absolutely nothing . Oh and pulse 2 is that gunna be next weeks episode? if so yay more shitty pulse movies.

Wait, what? That's what this movie was about? The trailers for it made it look like a totally different movie!
Kinda like the trailers for Kangaroo Jack, that movie was not about a talking Kangaroo at all, that was a short dream sequence.

Oftentimes, that's what a bad movie will do. It'll try to fool you into thinking it's better than it really is with its trailers by showing something that actually seems at least slightly interesting. They know if they actually showed you what the movie was, that everyone would just avoid the darn thing.
Anyway, nice review Phelous. Always good to see a CAMEO from JewWario and you picked a nice line for your subtitle bit. Also, keeping the phone was possibly one of the dumbest things I've seen in a horror movie so far. It's comparable to that girl who walked into the dark hallway for a movie in FearDotCom. =_=
Also, there is a PULSE 2?! o_O
Geez, how many of these movies are there? I hpoe, for your sake Phelous, that the next one will be the last.

Edit: Oh, I forgot about the Madden NFL one and the weight-loss yogurt one. I think that covers it!

But yeah, I later noticed the Fiber, Pillars and Yogurt references when he said "Do you care about my fiber?" and "I am going to lose weight! I'll go eat yogurt!".

Many people, including myself, would argue that the remake of "The Ring" was better. Some, including myself, may even say it was vastly superior.
However your mileage may vary depending on who you talk to. There are also many who hated "The Ring" remake as much as they hate any other Pacific-Jumper translations.

and of course they need to replace subtle and intimate pace & camerawork by trendy CGI effects...

The Ring still felt all right I think though but with The Grudge the Caucasian actors inserted into the story felt REALLY out of place and Ju-On is MUCH better.

Pulse 2 and 3 came out at the same time and are much worse than this one. They have the whole "what society does after..." theme to them and deal with this girl at different times in her life. I could barely watch them I was so bored.

Wow just wow the ending of this movie really showed how stupid the whole movies is. But wait, what really pisses me off about this movies is when they try to use something that's "in" with those "wacky" teenagers and completely screw it up because they are in love so much with dry humping their own premise that they forget how shit works. Hollywood schmucks... Great review none and cameos nonetheless.

But... the original one has some silly things about it too that is just odd. But the funniest part in the original, which was what I was hoping would make a cameo in your video was... where the ghost freakin' trips... and gets back up! XD Its even in the Trailer.

I love the original so I was pretty annoyed by the fact that they through out the whole point of the original and instead made it into a dumb ghost movie.
That said I did like the visuals of this one.
About the red tape thing, I've seen a similar custom in a whole bunch of Japanese horror movies involving ghosts so it must be some kind of superstition.
BTW... There's not just a Pulse 2 ;) also a Pulse 3
