03.31.2010 - 23:14 | Apathetic OneGeezus...this has to be the worst Troll movie yet.
But...this is by far the best Ator film...

"How much Keeffe is in this movie?" "None. None at all."
Ator deserves credit because in the first two Ator films he earns distinction as the only barbarian to dual-wield katanas and actually posess the Alchemy skill. It all comes back to D&D...and pretending that 4th edition doesn't exist...
In a different note, Ator Jr. really is clumsy and worthless isn't he?
Cinema Snob as Snidely Whiplash is a funny move.

03.31.2010 - 22:24 | RhomegaI was in shock when the Cinema Snob said there were 3 versions of Troll 4. Man, that would suck horribly.

I was wondering when you two would join together in a review. This is probably the first time I've seen CS crossover with anybody since arriving here (then again I probably haven't seen all his reviews).
Anyway, you two pretty much summed up my thoughts on how it doesn't matter who does what first. It's fair game to anyone since they have their own opinions on the matter.

04.01.2010 - 00:57 | Sandstar1Technically speaking, the Cinema Snob crossed over with the Big Box (which isn't on here) and the Bruno Matei show (whch is) before this.

Honestly, the implication from what I've read about 'Iron Warrior' is that it's a decent movie. Then again, maybe people's expectations have been so dulled by 'Ator the Flying Eagle' and 'Cave Dwellers.'
If nothing else, it features Miles with black hair and nothing as dumb as a hang-glider or grenades.
I do appreciate how Brad mentioned our *new* hero being cast based on his role as Thor in that crappy made-for-tv movie. Imagine Joe's face when he showed up so dumpy and without anywhere near the build that Miles had. Say what you will about his shitty non-acting, Miles was a tough-looking dude in those movies.
-
03.31.2010 - 23:04 | anaeuphisYeah, using a hand glider will never be cool again unless it's Reb Brown using the stiff corpse of a giant bat.

Going purely off of entertainment value, I would say this was the better review of this film- CS covered too much ground to be as interesting, although it helped to have the background. Ironically, these reviews are what got me interested in both Phelous and the Snob from here on out, so A+ to both.
-
why is this movie like "the ring of nibelungen"? did they think no one knows that famous play? It actually uses a part of the first act "the rhinegold" and a lot of the second act "the valkyrie". what desperate film to blantly copy it. it even used the trick to take him away from brunhildar and even surrounded her with fire. what a cheap trick siegfried, i mean ator should have been done better than this.
-
03.31.2010 - 22:59 | anaeuphisBrilliant music choices there Phelous, miles better then the Ator's theme or the Troll....Goblin's.
And I'm really surprised the fanboys' stupidity levels didn't reach "Oh, he really ripped him off!" levels yet. Your two styles are so vastly different and enjoyable in their own right it's basically 2 great reviews for the price of one shitty movie. Or in Troll 3's case: 4. Instead of playing favorites I rather have more entertainment.

Yeah I kind figured he would have gone into that stuff at the start too but it kinda needed to be addressed. I didn't watch his review of it until I was finished mine so I found it really funny though that he mentioned Godzilla and the Gorn at that lizard fight too, guess it just really comes off that way. ;)
Cinema Snob brags that he is more informative but I'll stick with Phelous, he's way more entertaining.
