Well, for your first LP it was actually pretty well edited and voiced over. And you picked a pretty exceptional game for an LP: terrible voice acting with pretty interesting story and game play. I still like the last battle with the wizard even if it was trial and error. Reminded me of the old Disney cartoon with Merlin facing off against the witch.

It was certainly the one that has made me laugh the hardest though! You're voice is so enjoyable to listen to that if I knew someone in real life that sounded like you, I would never let them stop talking.
Now I think I want to go watch all of your LP videos again... I hope you do end up doing another one sometime!

I know you said you're not likely to do another LP any time soon, but if you do you should do the last Space quest game, Cheesy acting amusing deaths, plenty of trial and error comments. Even had this LP not been funny it still would have been entertaining for your voice alone. You make a great documentary narrator.

Paw,you're way too hard on yourself. Everyone and their mom is doing LPs now,but the ones actually worth watching and few and far between. Most of them are absolute and total shit,nearly unwatchable. Yours is in the absolute fucking gold tier,right next to Spoony's stuff. Naturally,for you it seems like not a serious effort at all,but for the love of god,you're so good at just ranting as you go that it'd be a fucking crime if you didn't make more. After playing the worst game in the series,you're pretty much obligated to play the best one,especially considering that it's one of your favorites. The fact that you memorized it by now makes you all the more qualified.
I'll be honest,whenever I'm studying or doing any other grunt paperwork or even trying to fall asleep,I usually have it running in the background,so I must have watched it like 50 times by now. I pretty much memorized it by now,and I never get tired of it. =)
One last thing:
I will gladly join Joe on your hitlist,because Kelso is better than hot - she's fucking ADORABLE. :3 When she started doing barrel rolls around you,I lost the game.

I agree with this completely. Paw, you don't give yourself enough credit. The Kings Quest V Let's Play is something I watch all the way through at least once a month. I understand if you don't want to do another, but I hope you realize the majority of us fans would LOVE to have another one from you.

As a huge King's Quest fan, I'd suggest King's Quest II for another Let's Play, should you decide you want to do another. It's the most bizarre and nonsensical game in the series, which is saying [i]a lot.[/i]
I'd love to hear what you have to say about the part where you throw a bridle on a snake, which turns it into a talking, flying horse that gives you a magic sugar cube to protect against evil plants. :0

I'll have to check out that play-through of KQ6 you recommended. The game is so well-written that there's really not much to riff on. You'd be better off picking on "King's Quest 7."
I like play-throughs, but my biggest problem with them is sorting through all the ones with bad microphones and humorless people to find the genuinely funny ones that you and Spoony make. There should be a list of all the best ones somewhere.

I really, really enjoyed your Let's Play. Your jokes were great, and you kept everything entertaining at all times. The MST3K-ish stingers at the end were excellent as well. I still can't get that harpy's screech out of my head!
I have simply got to do one of these for King's Quest VI. If I could only harness the footage properly!

You're not doing construction work. Effort does not dictate how entertaining you are. I mean if the King's Quest let's play was as easy as you say it was, just looking over the comments should inform you of that. That thing was months ago, and you still have many people here saying they watch it regularly.

Which class did you pick to approach the QfG series?
Torin's Passage is the only game I haven't seen a let's play for. It was made by the same guy who did the Leisure suit Larry series, and was his attempt to make a family non sexual game. It was pulled off the shelves quickly there afterwards. Until recently I hadn't played it through again and found the hidden easteregg along with the general plot that just really tortured and stupefied even the most dedicated of adventure game players.
Voice acting in Torin's Passage surpasses the horridness in KQ5. The main characters themselves will make you regret even approaching the title.

This was awesome. I totally loved the Let's Play to begin with, and the ending was absolute gold. XD You know how long it took me to get through Spoony's LP of Phantasmagoria? FOREVER. But yours was great, a few minutes here and there, and I loved the "King Swayzee" bits. The ending was so worth all the hell you went through playing this piece of crap.
And as for the commentary on the LP, I enjoyed hearing about the making of the end bit. Awesome.

I have to say I'm surprised at the thought that these let's plays are a waste of space on the website. It's true that they don't require scripts or much effort to make, but let's plays have been the source of some of the best laughs I've had on this and spoony's websites.
I actually rate your King's Quest let's play, along with spoony's Swat 4 and Phantasmagoria 2, as some of the funniest and most entertaining things I've seen on the internet. There was actually a moment in your king's quest playthrough that I had to stop the video from laughing too hard, namely the way in which you killed the yeti and then subsequently died afterwards.
While I understand the viewpoint that they might be a waste of space, I wholeheartedly disagree, and one wouldn't need to look further than you and spoony to see why.
