"Hugs and kisses, your master, the METAL LORD."
Kinda reminds me of another mid-90's crappy business/strategy game, "Wet: The Sexy Empire," but that game had less mini-games, less content, and more cartoon porn (though it was so badly drawn I'm not sure it could count as porn).
And that "Backtrack" song is epic; where can we find an mp3? ;)

I swear, the game must be so bad that even Blip's disagreeing with playing footage of it. For the longest time the timer dot was far ahead of the buffered line, and then the buffering went to hell during the outro where Paw was standing, facing towards the warriors.
Anyways Paw, I wouldn't say it is the worst music based experience. There was an interactive experience known as Spice World that was released for the Playstation a few years later. My sister got it as she was a spice girls fan before the first split. Anyways, EVERYTHING you do in the game is extremely pointless. First, you need to make the song, and the clips you're given don't mesh at all. Hell, you can just loop the intro until you finish the Mix. Then, you learn about the commands, but the dance studio is rendered completely pointless as all the commands given in that mode is in the instruction book. Then, you go into Dance recorder and you record the dance moves you've learned in any order. The manual does say you must hit the buttons in time to have them record, but you can just speed them out like you could replay the sequence in Simon. Then you can either copypasta your dance for the rest of the girls or you can torture yourself and rerun it for each girl. Then you watch your masterpiece, and no matter how much it sucks you will always get the crowd going wild. And what do you get for less than an hour of gameplay? Clips of Spice World the movie and interviews of the girls. And you thought ODST's playtime was horrible.

Good video!
Tho i gotta point out something, you bitch about the game having a lot of plot and having no resolution about the metal lord, which is totally infuriating, but...well, you could have made the point even more powerful if you had mentioned the whole back story of how the alternate dimensions work.
I mean, the game builds up all this (surprisingly) awesome mythology about experiments with teleportation and how the other dimensions are created from the minds of dreaming people (hence the mention of Earth being the mother dimension) that literally makes the game have possibilities only limited by imagination and never touches up again. If you ask me, that's worse than having no metal lord.
Seriously, no mention of elvis dimension #44 in this video saddens me, but i forgive you for using "of course!".

I meant mostly the trend of brainless "rhythm based" gameplay following the lead of Guitar Hero, which was a cool concept for the first 2 installments. Its gotten a bit out of hand in the genre and rhythm games have become a giant quick time event with a soundtrack.
I'll be showing off some good games and some bad ones to prove my point in later installments.

I gotta say, your mad production skills just keep getting better and better, Paw!
I have to admit, there were some moments that dragged a little bit. For example, I think you could have taken out one of the "backtracking song" reprises and it still wouldn't have taken away from the big backtracking choir brigade, which by the way, was nicely done. Gotta love Tektonik Benzai--er, Paw.
Overall, Music Games already has quite a lot of promise behind it as a series. I'm already curious to see what will be taken on next! B)
Is anyone else going to have that "You Are Dead" song stuck in their head for a while?
