01.22.2013 - 13:34 | TheDark4lightWhen I read this comment before watching the video I figured you were exaggerating. I mean nothing could be that adorable right? Boy was I wrong I mean with Critic throwing a tantrum in the crib, Chick looking adorable n the table and Todd trying to make friends with Lupa. Im a guy and that broke my will. Now if youll excuse me I have to go hunt down the part of my mind that encompasses squeeing and put it back under guard by the other parts of my mind.

07.13.2012 - 21:32 | IffySAMI love your shows, Paw, and I hate the idea of being critical to you, but I feel like this was your weakest episode. By a fair margin. You barely commented on the movie's plot, and didn't even stick with half the songs for very long. Was there a deadline issue? It doesn't seem like much time has passed since you last vid, at least compared with previous hiatuses.
The Muppets Take Manhattan is a wonderful little movie, and I also think it's the best of the old school Muppet films (I still haven't seen the new one, mostly because I'm scared I'll be disappointed given how much hype/praise it's already built up), so I was really looking forward to this. It's a good thing I've already seen it, or I don't think I would have had any clue what the movie was about or whether it even had a plot at all.
Hopefully, you were just trying to give the viewership a small taste of the movie and not spoil anything, or something else (hopefully not too bad) was taking up your time and attention. I wouldn't want to think you've lost enthusiasm in these reviews; they're one of my favorite things on this or any site. You haven't even gotten to Hello Dolly! yet, and that's my favorite musical of all time. And BTW, that movie would deserve the full two-parter My Fair Lady treatment.

Yeah, I actually feel this way about all three of his latest videos. It seems he's stopped going into detail about plots and the like and is just trying to rush through his thoughts on the songs and get to the end of the video as much as possible. When I saw he was gonna do Cannibal, I was so excited only to find he skipped two reprises and barely talked about the plot at all. In fact, he spent more of it talking about its relations to South Park than anything else. I was interested to learn about the original Dr. Dolittle but he doesn't talk about the plot at all and only goes into great detail about only a few of the songs. I'm starting to wonder if he's truly as into the series as he used to be.

YES!!! Dr. Horrible is one of my favorite pieces of film/music/acting/humor/ drama/ANYTHING every put together by humans!
One of my best friends decided to have us all screen it together back in 2009, and I've been in love with it ever since. The last thing she said when it ended was, "It just goes to prove that low-budget films really can be amazing." They truly can be.
I'm SO looking forward your review (as long as its positive, lol). Its just so great to see how many people know about it! You're awesome for having seen it!
Not to mention that its what originally got me obsessed with NPH. ;)

I could have sworn someone said you were doing "Cannibal the Musical" next.
The Muppet Babies & Sesame Street movies are a fuzzy blur for me, none of the music rings a bell either. I pretty much only remember the Sweedish Chef & the opening themes to the 2 Muppet TV series.
Phelous & Fozzie sound a bit alike.
You can use online audio converters to rip music from clips of this movie on Youtube.
You know, a name like "Dr Horrible's Sing-Along" doesn't exactly sound like it will have pleasant music in it.

Very short review, Paw. While I like that it wasn't long and to the point, I barely got any sense of the plot and the songs. Although, I do like your idea of That Guy Babies. I would watch that every day! I hope that your next review is longer and more thought out. I have quite a few friends obsessed with Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog and I think it will be a fun review for you to do!

07.13.2012 - 22:05 | LeeshaJoyY'know, my parents used to have the Muppets Take Manhattan soundtrack album. I should go dig through their record collection and see if they still do. I know I used to have a cassette recording of it...

I actually a bit disappointed with this video. You actually forgot a song and it's the main one in my opinion. "Look At Us, Here we Are". Where was that song? Also, I wish you had reviewed the songs in the order of there appearance. Not everyone has seen this movie and it would have been nice if you had talked about the plot. This was one of my fav Muppet Movies and I happened to love your 'worse pick'. In all honesty there wasn't a song in this movie that I disliked. Oh man, "Saying Goodbye" still makes me cry to this day. It broke my heart when I first saw it. I got to tell you, Jim Henson was a genius at what he did. I was old enough to remember when he died and I thought we had lost a great one. I rank him up there with Walt Disney. Overall it was a decent review, but I've seen better.

07.13.2012 - 22:32 | 9anseanI argee that this could have really benifited from being the usual twenty minute overview for the unfamiliar. This is easily the most rushed I've seen in this series, even more than the Willy Wonka video. Still, I'm glad you had a lot of fun and insightfull things to say.
Check out this awesome video of your best song choice done funky:

I’m a 29 year old grown man and I still fight back tears whenever I hear "Saying Goodbye" When one of my best friends (Since freshman year of college.) moved away to Atlanta for a job transfer last September. Me and a few friends made a little video for him comprised of photos from years past and we adding this song to it. We watched it the night before the start of his 12 hour trek to his new home. By the end we were all just BAWLING like little toddlers.

Yes, this is my favorite Muppet movie, for all the reasons mentioned -- though I di like the caper plot aspects of "The Great Muppet Caper".
Muppet Babies AND the And I'm Gonna Always Love You song were genius.
Haven't seen the new Muppets movie because I feared it would be like the new Smurfs movie -- anyone see it?

Nice review. and now...
Hooray for Horrible!
He's kooky, lovey but still Horrible!
If he could only just
Make himself titanic
The city would panic.
He'll smash the handsome captain
With just his mighty freeze ray
All annoying heroes
Will go down to zeroes.
He will make everyone pay.
Hooray for Horrible!
With his mad science
Even Captain Hammer
Can be defeated.
Every young man or lady
From John to Sadie
Will feel quite heated.
He'll have no remorse,
And will join Bad Horse
Hooray for Horrible!
Hooray for Horrible!
White-smocked and goggled, Horrible!
From transmutation to radio controls
His mighty mad science will freeze our souls.
All for his laundromat love
He could rule us all
On knees we'll crawl
To beg for mercy from
Fate undreamed of.
Hooray for Horrible!
Captain Hammer won't stand a chance
He may think that he's the love of the nation
Their one salvation
But he is deplorable
Soon he'll feel the pain
At the end of his reign
Hooray for Horrible!

Oh Paw, the video was good but you reminded me,
I saw Muppet Babies before seeing Muppets Take Manhattan.
Though I like the movie and it's songs because I saw it in that order I always felt cheated with the Skeeterlessness of that segment.
Before internets I would keep an eye out for her in Muppet related things.
She could stand up to Piggy, Skeeter has NEVER been a physical Muppet = there's your conspiracy theory

"...and that will cost you a pretty penny."
DAMN! I used to own the soundtrack to this movie on vinyl as a kid, but it was lost during a move. Oh well.
Thanks for the review, though I'd agree with some others here that it did feel a bit rushed. I enjoy the more thorough song-by-song analysis you usually do.

I'm glad I won't be the first person airing my complaints about this video. Yes, I did hate the fact that you were stalling but like a few others I'm really disappointed that you hardly touched upon the plot of the movie. I get that it's about The Muppets going to New York to get their play on Broadway, but if it weren't for another commenter, I would have never known that this is the same movie that had a subplot about Kermit loosing his memory. That's what I remember the most about this movie that I haven't seen in years, and you pass it over to nitpick the muppet babies and Kermit and Miss Piggy's wedding...er, shotgun wedding as you keep calling it. Seriously, I would have thought Kermit's memory loss called for more attention rather than being passed over!
Look I hate to harp on you, you're one of my favorite reviewers on the site, but completely glossing over a plot and subplot just to nitpick a cash-in and go on a long-winded tangent about your nostalgia for this thing, just really seems unprofessional for you. It's a lot like your Annie review, which I think is your worst one.
This was just too rushed and gripe-y. I really hope you no longer being interested in these videos isn't the case...
