You were right the first time about Baba Yaga-- She's Slavic, Russian originally, but Poles,Finns and others have inherited versions of her. But not Germany. (Yiddish is the closest to that area.)
For some reason, they just call her "the Hunchbacked Fairy" in the translation of the movie JACK FROST used on an episode of MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000, but it's clearly her, down to her chicken legged hut.

Because I didn't see anybody commenting on it yet:
The Guild Master's last name, Abenteuer, is German for 'adventure'.
And the password for the thieves' guild is indeed 'swordfish'.
The other options are, from top to bottom:
"Oh my dear"
"Ratfink/Swine" (literally: Swinedog. The game also forgot an E, it's usually written Schweinehund)
Antwerp (it's a place.)
Rheingold (the treasure in the Nibelungenlied)
Also, I expected Paw would give a whole lot more characters one of those cheesy stereotypical German accents.
I don't know if I should be pleasantly surprised or dissapointed by that.
