I miss this game so much. The fourth game in the series is by far my favorite. I can't wait to see this playthrough!

Spielburg means game town? I did not know that! That's actually quite clever, sierra people. But then to name the Baron "Stefan"... Making him Stefan of Spielburg. >_

10.28.2012 - 05:33 | HuginnActually, Burg means castle. So Spielburg would translate to Game-/Playcastle ("Spiel" is not very easy to translate, since it has many meanings. It can be a (board) game, childs play and even a drama. The german word for "actor" is "Schauspieler")
However, the ending -burg is in the names of some german cities (Hamburg, Wolfsburg, Magdeburg and others). This indicates, that there is or has been a castle, around wich the city grew.
And the german word for "citizen" (Bürger) derived from the word "Burg", so it means literally: inhabitant of a castle.
By the way, the name of Hildes father, Heinrich Pferdefeder, translates to horse feather.

YES! I LOVED this game growing up. I took my wizard from QFG 1 all the way to QFG 4, because 5 NEVER HAPPENED.
Kinda sad you aren't playing the old EGA 8ish bit version. The original game where you have to choose what to ask people lets you be clever, and/or naughty, and makes the game harder and more fun.

Let's hope you manage to catch lightning in a bottle again and make something thats so much more entertaining than a normal LP.

I coulda told you what mephitic meant! Did you know the striped skunk's scientific name is Mephitis mephitis (bad smell bad smell!!). Aaaanyhoo, I look forward to this Let's Play, although it's not gonna be the same without Cedric! :)

lol, the hardest thing in a game where you can choose your own character has always been the naming section.
You wouldn't believe how many PC characters I went through just for a good name. lo

There's a text command box and you have to think of the actions or questions yourself rather then having them suggested. It required much more thought and observation.

Been waiting a while for your next LP, but I didn't expect this! Didn't you and Roses already LP this game, though? I thought the two of you were going to tackle QFG2 next (or maybe one of the SQ fan-games).

I played this game and have fond memoriesof it. Except, I played the original Hero's Quest before it got the name change and the graphics upgrade.

When you first started being the sheriff, you synced up so perfectly with the lip animation that I thought it was part of the game. I was going to make fun of it for sounding like a voice you could do.
