12.08.2009 - 21:32 | Sir ChrisPfft, the old magical space turtle with elephants on it setting. How many times have I seen that one? They really need to stop recycling that plot.
On a different note, that was another amazing lets play by the boyz. A different style from other lets plays like usual but still entertaining.
My only real gripe, though small, is that I wish ya guys could play the game through normally in a traditional lets play sense. However I realize this isn't exactly feasible due to the amount of people involved and the time it would take. I can always dream though.
Regardless, great job guys. Keep up the good work.
P.S. A stellar performance by Rollo T(?) as the luggage.

Sloooooow Doooooown. Paw, you have a greaat sense of humor and comidic timeing, and so do the other guys. Infact you all play off eachother very well.
But this feels more like a highlite reel than a Let's Play. I'll take some lulls in the action for better pacing. Your King's Quest Let's Play was awsome because we saw the whole game.
Use a fast-forward cam, if you must, but let us see the whole game. I want this series to continue, (and it is very funny) but it needs more substance.

Imagine for a second that this game was voice acted by a small group of ADHD riddled high school dropouts without a script, forced to use only the dialog bubbles already in place to guide their intonations.
I can't even really call this a failure, as I'm uncertain of what this is supposed to be. Is reciting the dialog [poorly] the best insight you could dig into the game? Would it have killed you to come up with anything?
Thanks for an utter waste of space on the internet. Please try again. I'm sure you can do better if you put a little bit of effort into it.
This is a somewhat fun game with room for some decent ribbing. I will admit that it is tough to dredge up something clever to say about a game all to eager to insult itself.

not that impressed myself. partially because mocking a game that already mocks standards of society in some way doesn't quite work with the blatant style of mockery being used by the TA crew. paw could probably do well on his own with this though since he wasn't exactly OTT with anything he said, unlike the rest of the crew.
and using the version with voice acting would really benefit too.

I didn't like it as much as previous LPs. Making fun of something that doesn't take itself seriously simply doesn't work.
King's Quest was perfect for that: They seriously wanted to provide a useful entertaining sidekick, came up with Cedric, and failed miserably... They wanted a German accent on the toymaker and failed again.
But with Discworld it seems out of place what you are trying. Sure not all of the puns are first grade but they tried to catch the spirit of Pratchett's book series and involved a huge number of the books' characters. The gameplay drove me nuts though and it seems impossible to me to beat that game without walkthrough.
And the voice acting... well... knowing the original which was done by people like Eric Idle and Tony Robinson it seems a bit like blasphemy how you guys read the dialogue... O.o

Yeah, I'm a HUGE fan of Pratchett, but when I played this game I was ranting and raving. The puzzles mad so little sense, I had to find a walkthrough. How the heck am I supposed to know that I have to use the broom to wake up the luggage to get the bannana to give to the librarian, instead of wasting time trying to find out how to get the bannana that one guy has behind his ear or looking in the freaking kitchen? Or that I have to take a tomato, throw it at the tax collector, and THEN take another tomato in order to get a worm to combine it with a string to get an imp out of a mousehole that I had no idea existed? Or how about when you have to talk to a random person a certain number of times, but only after stealing an old man's pants (I'm still trying to figure out why you take his pants)?
The dialogue was funny and paid acceptable homage to the books, but was completely ruined by the puzzles that weren't so much puzzles as guess-work.
However, hearing this review made it extremely more hilarious (mainly because we didn't have to sit through the illogical puzzles)
