  • dietronomy  - my name is Dietr...

the first time I hear my name in a work of fiction and it's THIS movie?
"Dietr lost a liter"... I might cry.

Lupa + Cecil = Major win! I checked the math three times. I've been watching your reviews for several years and recently stumbled upon Good Bad Flicks about 4 months ago.

And here I thought Dead Heat was lame... Comedy and 80s action don't always mix well...unless it's Far Cry Blood Dragon which is fucking awesome. But seriously, who produced this? The same people behind Ricky 1? Oh Robert Davi, what are you doing in this mess?

Y'know, analyze the movie in retrospective makes you reliase that at the very least this movie succeded where Last Action Hero fail.

It's like this movie smoked crack before it was released.

Wait... Isn't that black guy the mayor from Robocop 2?

Have you guys ever seen "Sledge Hammer"? It's pretty much the same thing as this, but a TV show. The leads even look amazingly similar.

This movie hits the dumb buttons in all the right ways. Exploding farts? I'm in.

Gotta love 80s cheese, especially self-aware cheese.

I think Traxx is a sociopath. I mean, that smile while he kills people; he's enjoying it!

how is this movie not infamous it's not troll 2 bad but still, this has to be the darkest comedy ever made.
  • smek2  - Brilliant!

Oh my god, this movie seems to be hilarious!
An 80s action movie spoof -- made in the 80s!
It's low rating on IMDB saddens me. I mean c'mon, how could you NOT get it? He's wearing his own movie's t-shirt for crying out loud.

*pic of Allison* "Seen here delirious after 648 hours of Charmed"

hahahaha, I loved that part, seriously I couldn't blame her I would probably crack up to if I had to watch the whole Season Six of Charmed for THAT long. XD

Wow, this film seems to be absolutely fantastic! Good review too, never heared of Cecil before but the split commentary works well!

Never thought I'd see Cecil on TGWTG. Nothing wrong with him, it just doesn't seem like his style.

Good Bad Flicks is a good show, well worth checking out,
Cecil has a good attitude towards the stuff he reviews.

Good lord. I... I went back and forth several times during this review between thinking this looks genuinely good, and thinking it looks like the most spectacular disaster ever. Some times I feel like the jokes really hit home and MEANT to hit home, and yet sometimes I just... do not even know.

But that aside- this beautiful little trip into madness seems like it gives no fucks about what I or anyone thinks, it is far too far gone for that. I have no idea what they want us to laugh at and not laugh at, but I am fascinated by every frame. But if it can even approach Loaded Weapon, I'll probably enjoy it since I really liked that movie.

Damn! Mere weeks ago, I saw this film in a rack of VHS tapes at a local thrift store but passed it up. In retrospect, considering it...

    a) seems to have been produced by Dino de Laurentiis, the same man who brought us Barbarella, Flash Gordon and King Kong Lives,
    b) has a plot that involves vigilantism AND cookies and
    c) features Terri from Three’s Company

...NOT getting this was a big mistake!

But still...I think Shadoe Stevens’ greatest contribution to society is still his bizarre and hilarious series of commercials as the Fred Rated character for Federated, that he did in his pre-Hollywood Squares days in the early 80s. Check them out, most of them are posted to Youtube and they’re great entertainment.

God...this movie is like if you made a spinoff movie for a memorable villain/chief henchman who stole the show in another action flick, and did hardly anything to actually make them more heroic.

That's it. This is "Bond villain: The Movie."

I was skeptical up until the main antagonist death scene then my mind caved in from the awesomeness
